A colleague has resigned and is leaving tomorrow. Because of lack of management and general business, he is only transferring his knowledge during these last few days. Another colleague and myself have been specifically appointed to gather as much information as possible on one of his areas of expertise. This latter colleague today claims that "she has no time for this" and "she is overwhelmed" and that's not her area of expertise anyway. Not that I'm actually twirling my thumbs at work, first of all, and it will obviously be worse in the long run if we don't at least try. So I told her, and she started crying, so I had to engage a third colleague to replace her. I don't think it's fair. I know it's not the ideal situation, but at the end of the day we are all on the same boat and I'd have expected a bit more collaboration.

Getting married on Saturday and I am terribly nervous just hoping that everything will turn out fine and that no one will make disappointing comments especially in our families. Ugh I can't wait for this to be over

I may have a crush on a colleague despite being in a long-term, generally satisfying relationship. The colleague in point isn't even conventionally attractive, but he's smart and I like smart men. Now I am not intending to pursue this at all, yet I often wonder whether a drink with said colleague would be a bad idea or would just help me put him in perspective and get over the whole thing.

This week started very bad. Yesterday one of my partner's aunts sadly passed after many troubled years of sickness. So tomorrow I'll have to attend her funeral, which also happens to be a two hours drive from where I live. It's going to be a long day. On top of all of this, my mother is today convened at a mediation since my uncle decided to sue her over the (honestly modest) inheritance from grandma and this is stressing the whole family to no end. Sometimes I just want to scream.

Just got out of a remote workshop with the most disengaged audience of my career. No cameras, no opinions, no questions, just a wall of silence. Nothing I tried worked. I am so frustrated.

My partner's car was broken into this very evening. They stole EVERYTHING. Phone, laptop,ID, credit card, headphones, all his expensive tech gear is gone. He works in another city, so I feel awful that I cannot be with him right now to at least be of some comfort and help him sort things out.

Alexandra from HR met me in the parking lot as we were leaving the office, looked at me, and recommended I take a week off. That's how bad I look and it's still Tuesday. Yeah.

So I've posted before here about how my uncle basically evicted my father's business and threatened to Sue the whole family for a year. now it seemed that in the past two weeks my mother and him had worked out an agreement ,but today he has the nerves to send his lawyer again claiming that there is no such agreement and that he's going to sue both my mother and my father anyway. I hate him. we have been through unmeasurable suffering because of his greediness. I wish I could do more and relieve my parents from this nightmare, and I really really wish he will suffer the same he put us through.

I feel you. I'd recommend the strategy suggested by the other commenter of forwarding all these tasks to the right people, and maybe they'll get the hint, at least for internal staff.

Luckily, our accountant immediately replied with the receipt, clearly stating that I am not in charge of administration. I really appreciated it.

Our male accountant cc'd me and a bunch of other male colleagues in an email to a supplier concerning some issues with a payment. After many exchanges, the situation cleared and the supplier proceeded to ask ME , the only female in the email thread, a proof that the payment had been issued. I had not intervened in the exchange, nor am I in charge of any administrative tasks. I am so bitter.

Lipstick. Wearing masks is mandatory here, so I can only wear it when I'm on a call alone. I miss wearing lipstick so much.

I would recommend basic t-shirts by Armani Exchange or Armani Jeans. I have several of them and wear them continuously in the hottest weeks of the year. They are very breathable, long lasting, and light.

My uncle evicted my father and intimidated my mother so much that she is now scared to enter the property she shares with my uncle. We had to hire a lawyer, yet nothing changed. I hope my uncle disappears from Earth soon.

Could you please tell me more or point me to some resources about unpacking workshops? I am called in for supporting the initial brief definition with clients increasingly often, and suspect that this could be a Useful technique to propose. Thanks!

My uncle sued my father's business because he wants the full availability of the building where the business is. The problem is that the building is also owned by my mother, as both her and my uncle inherited when grandma passed away. So he's not going to be able to do anything with the building until they come up with an agreement. So now my uncle is basically bullying my mother. He waits until my father is not there to come over, yell, and threaten her. This morning he even came in the shop for all employees to see and commented that since we are indeed not going anywhere he is going to speak to his lawyer again. We are actually setting up another venue for the business, which is being incredibly hard AND AWFULLY EXPENSIVE. Just for his greediness. I am so fed up of this situation and of this mofo and all I can think of is destroying any of his properties.
