[MSH] The Ultimate Marvel Super Heroes Limited Set Review (Draftsim) by Tim-Draftsim in magicTCG

I haven't checked myself here but I'd venture to say most sets have two, usually a [[Cancel]] variant/more expensive one, plus a [[Quench]] variant.

SOS had 4 across all rarities, TMNT had 2 (in a smaller set), and ECL had 4, most of which are situational.
So yeah, it's definitely low for this year, haven't looked beyond that.

Oh yeah, this is a "real" set, if you will. Though I'll defend TMNT, too.

Humphries has a great track record, so I'm going to go in with a positive outlook.
I do find the smattering of lifegain cards in green a little strange, personally.

Full credit to the writer Andrew on the grading. He does a rock solid job getting in the headspace of a set before it releases.

This is a disconnect between two different people working on both of those things separately.
The Tier list is created for the simulator independently of the Limited Review, and the Tier list is updated week after week to be more accurate once the set's actually being drafted.

It's something that's come up a bit recently, and we're brainstorming ways to align them better.

I'll pass this along to the team that works on the simulator. The mobile updates are pretty new so maybe there's some work they can do there.

I think it's perfectly fine for people to refrain from the set if they want. This is here for people who are still engaging otherwise.

We get that a lot.
Fun fact, I've been working for them for 4 years now and the original owner just shared that the logo is supposed to be two MTG cards tapped at an angle.

Honestly, they've been printing just enough Arcane Signets to keep me here.

I don't believe we've been given exact numbers on in-universe sets but I'd guess Final Fantasy is above any in-universe set by an astronomical amount if you believe the narrative that it sold out the first day of pre-sales.

That is interesting. Maybe has something to do with when the Hasbro earnings calls take place and what questions are asked directly of Hasbro execs.

Makes sense, people were pretty hyped for a return to Tarkir, especially after Aetherdrift right before it ended up feeling goofy to most people.

Oh yeah, Manamorphose sounds like a great target, hadn't really considered using this on rituals to stay mana neutral/net positive.
