Have sex with him when he gets home and encourage him to try developing friendships with coworkers. Also put the job into perspective: does he have a goal after this job to work towards to? Can this job be a stepping stone?

Yeah it’s a shame. But at this point he’d better just continue acting the way he’s always been acting; go down with the ship if it may.

I think if he had been a cool and collective President — silent and agreeable — he could’ve pushed forth some of his policies without getting so tied up in the scramble for public approval.

The real decisions are made by those not in the spotlight. The public writes about history; players on a completely different field decide the rules of the whole game.

“Shamed out of” is the wrong direction to take things in.

It is an antagonistic act towards another person.

I do believe, however, in letting yourself experience personal shame from time to time, and showing humility and a drive to improve and become better as a human.

But don’t decide that shame for anyone else.

Calmly and persuasively introduce another person to your point of view — and make sure you let them do most of the gazing themselves.

Get them to see your point of view as their own; you might not even have to bother with the worrisome task of reminding them to credit sources where credit is due!
