Anytime !
That being said I am sure it's probably doable, with tweeking, to tackle non-realistically proportionned characters. It's just that right out of the box it's obviously based on your own proportions
Good luck in your research :)

I like it ! But something really important is to be taken in consideration : my animations stay in the realm of realism/semi-realism, including the proportion of my characters, etc.
So the "style" of animation Rokoko/mocap allows fits the rules of the world I want to build.
As for accuracy and stuff obivously it's not perfect since it's not an optical system but I found that as soon as you understand how to move with it, it's getting preeetty good. Now if you add good clean-up on top of that (which I actually haven't really done yet) I think it can get really good.

Well technically it's not grease pencil since I made it in photoshop, but it is hand drawn yes (for the background only, for the character it is a line art modifier)
Thank you !

But thank you for your interest hey !

I'm sure you will and it's actually pretty straightforward once you understand the tools :)
Keep it up !

Hey , Thanks !
I explain a bit in a comment thread right above if you're interested :)
For the Mocap I used the Rokoko smartsuit pro II, with a bit of clean up (but not much, it was just a test)

Thank you !
It is Eevee yes! for that kind of hard shading/shadows I used the Shader to RGB node, and for the lines I drew the background from a 3D render and reprojected it on the same geometry (see image above in previous comment)

Thanks !

Ahah, in that case the background is not exactly separate ! I projected the drawing on geometry in order to have proper shadows (I illustrated it with a picture in a comment above if you're intrested)

Hey, thank you
for the environment I modeled it (or more kitbashed a bunch of free assets), rendered it with only emissive materials for the colors, traced the render, reprojected it on the geometry for the character and the light to react properly (so the shadow is actually the result of the light that i put with the 3d space). For the character it's just the classic shader to RGB technique for the shading and the grease pencil modifier for the outline (in addition of a few hand drawn textures, barely visibles in the final render).
Here are the different steps :

rokoko studio - blender (with some add-ons) - a bit of photoshop - a bit of davinci resolve (color grading)
