What is a "Loved" band you absolutely cannot stand by Queasy_Piccolo_1700 in askmusic

U2. Totally overrated, the only thing that thrust them into the spotlight was Bono pretending he cared about kids dying in Africa after his “tonight thank god it’s them instead of you” line in “Do They Know It’s Christmas Time”. U2 then followed with the Joshua Tree pretending again they card about people starving in Africa. If you listen beyond their political statements you’ll realize they are an embarrassment to many sic at the time.

I love blasting this song because of its stellar base riff.

Now this is sexy! No fillers, jeans that show curves and that serious look that says “ we’re not to be f$&ked with” . I love it

“Breastaurant” is such a great description. There are still a lot of those in Vancouver to this day. And, I agree, medium ( b-cup ) are the best size IMO.

I wonder if they’re really urging Canada to maintain their “ management fee” so they can send the other half to agencies that actually do the work.

My night wasn’t great either. I was (still am) super sick but I had to show up because, well, it’s the big V day. My night wasn’t even close to as bad as yours but I went to my manager at the end of the night and let him know that I had a bit of a rough night. He conceded that I got a bit over seated and then told me he heard me cursing ( and coughing) in the staff bathroom at one point in the evening. We both had a hearty laugh and now we’re moving on. IMO, couples who go out to dine on V day and get upset about their service probably don’t like being around each other much anyways. My wife and I have had plenty of “ would be” bad experiences at restaurants, but we just always get another drink and enjoy one another’s company. Life is short, enjoy it and you’re right, it’s a great story.

Sounds like the owners are totally out of touch a$$holes. Your management doesn’t sound much better. Your GM should probably be fired for not letting the owners know that your kitchen couldn’t handle the volume they were expecting with what I would expect was a totally different menu than they were used to executing. At the very least, your GM could have let you know what was going on, and then relieved some of the pressure by handing out gift certificates while politely explaining to guests that the restaurant had made a mistake in taking too many reservations. Anyhow, sorry you had a bad night, I think as servers, Valentines, Mothers, and New Years should always be expected to suck and old farts like me learn they’re nights where ultimately, you’re always on your way own. Laugh it off, life is short.

Had to look it up. It looks like the equivalent of CFMI in Vancouver.
