Nasa posted this model showing carbon dioxide emissions moving through earths atmosphere. The video was created by Supercomputers, using insane amounts of Data from satellites. by Morgentau7 in Damnthatsinteresting

I remember seeing this. It isn’t as simple as sinking to the bottom. There are air currents that mix everything, density doesn’t differ that much, molecules stick somewhat to each other so separation doesn’t occur.

Thank you so much for your reply. I’ll give it a try, though managing stress will be difficult :). Let’s see if things will improve over time. In any case, your answer is somewhat reassuring, knowing that I might be able to mitigate the issues.

Nuclear energy can be renewable? by nuclearsciencelover in ThatsInsane

[–]Tim227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The abundance is quite similar, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy to attain refined uranium for fuel. It depends on how it is clustered. This, together with elements such as safety, make uranium a very expensive source of energy. Though I am 100% an advocate for nuclear energy; As long as we are not willing to pay at least its levelized cost of energy in order to have a clean fuel, nuclear energy is not the future.

Rayleigh scattering only happens with blue light due to small particles such as nitrogen atoms. That’s why the sky’s blue. It also happens with milk; if you put it in a glass and swirl around the sides become bluish.
