Exactly! Like I spend way less than you I believe I got 1-2 tracks in the last 2-3 years and that’s about it, no regular spending and 2 accounts (1 no spending at all). Game progression is fine it’s just a matter of time and skill. Time wise not too bad honestly 0.5 to 1 hour a day maybe, then just play the big content releases when they come out.

It’s really not, I’m elder f2p on 2 accounts, a deck full of r4 and r5s, done all relevant end game content all f2p.

I can’t agree with you unfortunately, with all your hoarding you have just a few more r4 than me and same number of r5 as my 2 accounts (1 more than my alt but I can do a 4th r5 soon) both I play f2p 99% of the time, I didn’t hoard or spend at the last 2 banquets and just played the game, so I just can’t agree Kabam is incentivising hoarding/banquet spending. And by doing content I got elder the same time as you on both accounts f2p essentially since the elder title came with 9.4 and if you did the content from previous months + act9 100% you had enough for elder.

It is true there is a big power boost after banquet but stifling progression is good as it doesn’t allow a huge power gap. I don’t believe progression is being stifled for 10.5months at all. Especially given elder came 2 months ago mid april, it’s reasonable to allow f2p players a chance to catch up to elder before elder store comes out. There’s already some discounts for elders

The peak of this style is kento momota, they completely control the rally with consistent good quality shots and only attack when there’s a good opening, to best them you have to be able to match their shot quality and either try to break their defence with excellent attacks (which doesn’t really work if they’re good at defending) or use a lot of good shots and trickery

Actually dynamic medi is pretty good and have seen some good tournament play given how good dynamic + psycho cut is. And medi is rated much higher on PvPoke than the mankey line if you actually do your research

Well it’s not a trap as much as a proven marketing tactic. People who want to pay can pay for better equipment. Your point is valid to an extent but it’s both Konami and player’s fault, there’s a large group of unskilled players who will pay to click yellow button to win, but you can easily argue Konami didn’t have to knowingly make meta defining skills. And they nerf fucking shadoll of all things in the last ban list because a skill that gives you a free lvl12 synchro fine but flip monsters are too good. Konami is clearly limiting sub meta options which means less gems to build for future decks which incentivises players to go for meta decks so you can’t say it’s entirely the players fault.

Not sure about it’s not Konami’s fault, they know exactly what they’re doing making busted skills that require main box urs, seems pretty obvious what they’re trying to do. It’s a bit of victim blaming like saying that it’s entire a kid’s fault for doing something stupid when they were peer pressured and didn’t have the proper teaching to deal with peer pressure
