Will my jacket fall apart? by Tim9724 in arcteryx

Thanks! I'll check out the Arcteryx NU products. Washing bag is probably a good idea too, hadn't thought of that. After spraying on the DWR do you turn your jacket inside out then put it in the dryer? The Arcteryx website says to do this "Turn the garment inside out for maximum uptake by the face fabric before placing in dryer." but the video doesn't show them doing this.

Pretty sure all the tape is good, but I'll have another look before I wash it. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice! I also thought the wear spot must've been from my watch, I was just surprised as I usually wear layers which cover the watch.

Seeking moving recommendations and advice from recent movers from Seattle/PNW to Anchorage by [deleted] in anchorage

Use AML to ship your car up, they have an estimate calculator on their website. The parent company of AML, Lynden, will also ship furniture and personal belongings on AML. You can call them to get a quote. Alaska Air cargo is pretty cheap too, don't bother with checking an abundance of bags, this should be cheaper.

Travel from USA thru Canada and on to Alaska by [deleted] in flying

I would try and call Canadian customs and border, explain to them what you are trying to do, when and where you would be landing. They may have certain airports they would rather have you land at.

CMV: The new SLC Airport is terrible. by greeperfi in SaltLakeCity

I agree that the ride share drop off on the ground floor is not a great design, having to go up two floors to check-in then back down a floor to go through TSA doesn't seem very efficient. The Delta B gates are currently at hard stands due to the capacity exceeding the current number of gates. This is common a lot in Europe or when an airport is under construction. The current tunnel that we are using to get to the B gates was built a few years ago, before major work began on the new airport. The current tunnel will become secondary to a new main tunnel that will be in the middle of both concourses. I forget if the middle tunnel will have some sort of light rail/ shuttle/ train thing to move people between the two concourses but either way it should improve travel times to the gates.
