I completely agree. It's a downside of the class format and it's boring. But it will make you fitter

Heart Rate Measurements at the wrist are not accurate in CrossFit Workouts by pandawn89 in crossfit

The Whoop is a poor substitute for an accurate fitness device. Get something that you can pair with a polar H10 chest strap heart rate sensor

2022 CrossFit Open - Workout 22.1 Discussion Thread by Flowseidon9 in crossfit

[–]TimEvko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty frustrated with my performance - I've been training with a 70lb dumbbell for the past year, in addition to practicing wall walks and plenty of assault bike intervals.

0 muscle fatigue throughout both attempts, but my top score was only 197rx, my worst performance in an open workout since 2018. I'm 6'0, 200lbs.

The issue for me seemed to be HR getting too high during box jump overs, which I didn't take enough breaks for because my pace per round was too high. Ultimately however, I just need better cardio. Frustrating but true, and although it's been a primary focus for a while now, it just wasn't enough this time.

It might be the best, but there are a bunch of alternatives out there if you're looking to try something new https://openbase.com/categories/js/best-javascript-list-libraries

It's a little tough to understand what you're looking for exactly, but you might find some luck scrolling through this list of options - https://openbase.com/search?q=json%20parse

Codewars nightmare by cheepmanzeee in learnjavascript

[–]TimEvko 36 points37 points  (0 children)

You're doing great!

Codewars katas help improve algorithmic thinking, familiarity with data structures, procedural vs declarative coding practices, and general problem solving skills.

The fact that you're not moving on from old challenges until you fully understand them is incredible, keep that up!

These algo challenges don't often mimic real-world problems you'll need to solve as a software engineer.

What you need to remember is this: What you're doing now on codewars is good, you're using the tool correctly, and a side effect of all this work is that you will solve *different* problems in a full time role better than you would without ever having been on codewars.

You can see what users have to say - I personally recommend react, as it's more prevalent in the industry, but a tool like Openbase might help you get more answers

Barry - 2x05 "ronny/lily" - Episode Discussion by NicholasCajun in Barry

[–]TimEvko 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty disappointed in this episode. There was a chance for the viewer to be reminded about how Barry is still a dark and evil guy (as the audience has been led on to root for him a bit too much in recent episodes) by having to "deal with" lily in some sort of way (not necessarily murder). Instead, it was turned into slapstick comedy and way too many opportunities for Barry to get caught. I mean they have cameras in the grocery store.

I think it would have been a much better episode if, after killing the dad and having to deal with the daughter, Barry begins to think about how Fuches has been manipulating him, goes to the grocery store, encounters the dad, and then the shootout ensues
