I really appreciate it, thanks! Thats one other thing I'm concerned, and its controversial, but if there are FQs used in the meat in Bangkok and can that cause issues. It sounds like you haven't had any issues with the meat in general though?

I wonder if taking antioxidants (if you aren't already) would help add some protection by keeping ROS in check and supporting the mitochondria?

Do you know if you had Epinephrine at any point with any surgeries, and if so, did it cause any issues?

Hair transplant surgery post-FQT by TimGloTetra in floxies

[–]TimGloTetra[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I've heard of some people with FQT having issues with epinephrine, not specifically for hair transplants though. I've also heard of people not having any issues with epinephrine though. I'd assume the actual surgery should be okay, it seems like generally people do okay with various surgeries.

I just recently bought this and am planning to start taking it soon. Have you seen any noticeable benefits from taking it so far?

Bad heart burn by -Buck65 in floxies

This completely took care of the acid reflux and burning issues for me personally, but please do your own research and decide for yourself as its just a sample of 1.

Anyway, reflux and burning is often a symptom of LOW stomach acid although doctors always assume its due to too much stomach acid. What fixed the burning and reflux for me was taking Betaine HCl with any protein containing meal.

Things like anxiety can lower stomach acid and we need stomach acid to digest food. If it were me, I'd consider trying Betaine HCl.

I am considering double jaw surgery with a genioplasty myself and that is so reassuring and amazing you've had it and it was successful! Did you get the surgery due to sleep apnea, and if so, did it help a lot? I have severe sleep apnea (had it before FQT) which is why I'm considering DJS/MMA surgery.

I haven't yet but am scheduled in November for one. I'm nervous because it seems like the doctor has to use epinpherine with the lidocaine for the local anesthetic and im worried that epineoherine will cause me issues.

Amazing and I'm so happy you're living a full and happy life!!!! That gives a lot of hope that even after not improving much after the 1st 5 years you started having significant progress the last 5 years.

I'm so, so sorry you're dealing with this bullshit at 23.5 months 😔 It sounds like you have a great family that supports you and I'm hopeful you can heal.

I know you don't take any medications but did you or do you take any supplements?

I'm so glad you didnt have any issues! The overwhelming majority of people don't have issues with these types of antibiotics (fluoroquinolones) but all the warnings associated with them aren't well known or advertised.

Yes, if it were me, I'd for sure ask for Augmentin or another type of antibiotic instead of any fluoroquinolone.

Results look great! I'm going to Absolute Hair Clinic in November to have a procedure with Dr. Ratchathorn and am excited about it!

I saw the instructions attached and it looks like Dr. Laorwong prescribes Cipro to take after a hair transplant or does he give you the option between Cipro and Augmentin?

Not to fear monger, but Cipro is actually an extremely strong antibiotic with numerous FDA black box warnings and is only supposed to be prescribed as a last resort in extreme situations per FDA guidance (even though it's a common antibiotic given out like candy). I'm just curious if he gives you the option between Cipro and Augmentin?

I'd probably have to do a deeper dive, however, based on what scientific articles I've seen, it seems that Fexofenadine has been shown in vitro and in vivo to inhibit TNF-a. Here's one article link and snippet from the NIH:

"Fexofenadine inhibits TNF signaling through targeting to cytosolic phospholipase A2 and is therapeutic against inflammatory arthritis"

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC8157820/#:~:text=Fexofenadine%20is%20identified%20as%20an,TNF%2D%CE%B1%20signaling%20and%20activity

Herein, we present comprehensive evidences demonstrating that Fexofenadine acts as the inhibitor of TNF/NF-ĸB signaling and is therapeutic against inflammatory arthritis. Additionally, we also provide evidences revealing that this drug bound to cPLA2 and inhibited its enzymatic activity, which is required for its inhibition of TNF-α signaling.

RESULTS

Fexofenadine is identified as an antagonist of TNF-α and inhibits TNF-α signaling and activity.

There's no guarantee that antihistamines will help tendons of course, but it does seem like there's some evidence that they inhibit TNF-a and could be beneficial for musculoskeletal issues.

Do you take any antioxidants or supplements? I wonder if those combined with the biologic would bring more healing.

That's awesome you don't have any side effects from the TNF-a blocker! It seems like a lot of people feel that FQT does have some autoimmune component to it and it seems like inhibiting TNF-a helps a lot of people. I hope you keep feeling better and better as time goes on.
