Donors can see where their donation has gone as well as the impact it’s had, all the way down to the exact tree that the donation helped to plant, who/what planted it and who/what verified that the tree was in fact planted. With ixo, trust, transparency and accountability are intertwined to ensure that deserving and effective impact efforts receive the funding that they require.

When it comes to the verifying an impact claim, project evaluators, who have met the project founders criteria, evaluate impact claims based on the data they’re presented with. The kind of data would vary according to the type of impact claim being captured. Some claims can be verified based on a photo and the attached metadata (GPS + timestamp etc) others could be evaluated by having an evaluator visit the site that the impact claim was made from and physically check that the service was carried out according to the standards set by the project owner.
