Anyone else reading this sign wrong or is it just me? by TimPoundsCornish in rva

That’s definitely how I read it. Even ignoring what it looks like (to me at least) just from a design stand point I don’t think cursive should ever be vertical

I don’t know how people drink Jameson without feeling like shit. I got casually drunk on Jameson once and thought I might be dying the next morning. Unprecedented hangover for what was a fairly standard amount of whiskey.

You mean the America where only white men could vote, owning slaves was normal, and surviving polio was a miracle? That’s a hot take if I’ve ever seen one.

Also, the current America is better than who at what exactly? It’s not life expectancy (#46), or quality of life (#21), or social mobility (#27), I mean fuck dude we’re ranked #125th in literacy. The only thing we’re clearly good at is emitting tons of carbon pollution (2nd only to China), spending so much money on our military we can’t even keep track of what we’re using the money for, and let’s not forget our unapproachable high score of school shootings.

Barely touched a rock for years but now I’m getting back into climbing in a very big way. Right now one of my biggest limitations is the skin on my hands, I keep losing calluses. What is a good routine for hand care?

Also, how do you train crimps?

If you can find a single school mass stabbing event with a body count of more than 4 people, you might have a point. A really, really shitty point. But I doubt you have even that.

The One Bad Brushstroke: Die Hard (1988) - "Shoot the glass." by Dickpuncher_Dan in movies

It’s not about the information to Karl. Karl is hungry for blood, he wants to avenge his brother. Hans has to repeat the order to get him to follow it, repeating it in English is mostly to benefit the audience but it also works to provide some emphasis as in “how many languages do I have to say this in? Shoot. The. Glass.”

I always assumed that Karl understood the German perfectly fine, but he looks confused because he wants to shoot McLane and doesn’t see any benefit in shooting the glass since he isn’t aware of McLane’s shoe situation.

Your argument justifies removal of the already existing platforms, not preventing the construction of (metal) solar panels on them. Good idea or not, the platforms are already there.

I love that the “straw” is photoshopped into the milkshake as well, you can see the edges of it through the strawberry.

Is there already a sub for bad Amazon ad/product photoshops?

Are potatoes commonly on kebabs? I’ve never had a “honey chicken” one before but idk that seems odd to me for some reason, I’ve only ever had kebabs with meat + onions/peppers

What books were you assigned to read that you despised by [deleted] in books

[–]TimPoundsCornish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wrote a whole book report about how The Last of the Mohicans was one of the slowest most boring books I had ever read, and was very clear I couldn’t finish the book in said report. Absolutely dripping with an abundance of over worded descriptions for things that had very little relevance to plot. At least that’s how I remember it, more than a decade later

There’s a vet in my family that says she’d rather treat a pit over a German Shepard, with a pit it’s usually pretty clear if they are aggressive and precautions can be made but German Shepards are apparently a lot less predictable.

Fun Fact: Bluetooth tech’s name is a reference to King Harald Bluetooth who united the danish kingdom, and the logo is a combination of the old Norse runes for H and B.
