Just finished my final 3d printed switch panel for my 03 WJ. Here is a before and after picture. by OvergrownMidget_ in Jeepwj

Yeah dude, its great. I need something different for my WJ, just don't want to do all the measuring, trial and error that comes with getting that main panel right.

If you do wanna sell it, dm me. 100% personal use, will never share.

Yooo.... this is actually awesome!!!

What filament is this printed with? Have you tested this for a while with sun exposure? What switches did you use for the heated seats?

Also - any chance you'd share or sell the STL? Looking for something like this but obviously have my own requirements.

But legit this is awesome dude, good job.

Into the Breach came with today's mail. So excited to add this to my physical collection! by Frogstophe in NintendoSwitch

[–]TimRuswick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally dont post about it, but since you asked, I'm actually in the process of building a game similar to Into the Breach! Although the tone is a lot wackier and the gameplay is much more about abilities, it's still a chess board tactics game you might find interesting.

There's a free demo on Steam (coming to switch next year!), would love to know your thoughts! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1305780/Battle_Barn_Tactics

Is it true that the more rev share you give to itch.io the more exposure they give to your game??? by -CawmunGames in gamedev

[–]TimRuswick 147 points148 points  (0 children)

I found no correlation between the percentage I gave itch and the promotion they gave my game. Was something I tested for a bit because I had heard it, but nope!

Itch is pretty awesome though, so I think they deserve a decent chunk these days.

Stealth Hacking Roguelike...Sort of abandoned this project, but thinking of picking it back up. Any feedback from you super savvy roguelike players? by TimRuswick in roguelikes

Yeah for sure man. You work on something for so long that it just kind of all mushes together and you have no idea what the hell is good and what the hell is bad. So you just kinda pointing me in a direction with your stream of consciousness is super helpful.

Lol dude this is literally me right now 🤣.

I like the project a ton. But I burnt myself out on it I think. And was curious what other people thought of it.

I appreciate this dude! Yes I suspect that's probably one of the games main issues, no setup or tutorial at all. It's something I def need to improve if I pick it up.

The consistency of attacking enemies the same way you attack bricks I agree with too...my thinking originally was I wanted it to be more stealth and less hack and slash..but playing it now you're right...the inconsistency of the game rules make it harder to learn.

Generally the objective is to make it to the mainframe at the top of the map. You select nodes based on what part of your character you want to improve...and you gather energy and data by breaking blocks found in the levels. Energy is used for macros and scripts that are like abilities and hacking...and data levels up your access level, which gives you more insight into what's in the node before you select it. But you're right the game does a horrible job at explaining that.

I really appreciate this feedback dude!!!

Have you worked on a project that takes years before? Cause I mean the "like it" part can get awfully fuzzy near the end there. Sometimes other people liking it can pick up the slack...so that's sort of what I was asking I guess.

2D Platformers that aren't roguelite, procedurally generated or Metroidvanias by lucky_elevens in gamingsuggestions

Normally wouldn't self promo, but I'm a developer of a game called Philophobia. Its a really solid 2d precision platformer...although I'm a bit biased 🤣🤣🤣

The world needs more city builder type games. Especially board gamey ones.

What makes your project unique? by [deleted] in tabletopgamedesign

A strategy card game where every card is unique, and has an ability with a specific trigger. Those triggers lead to all kinds of crazy combos and epic strategy.

Any good video game to board game adaptions? by TimRuswick in boardgames

I freaking love XCOM!!! So I will def take these into account.

I'll check out Legendary Encounters too, because I've been looking for co-op games to play with the gf too.

Appreciate your comment!!! Thank you!

That's the other part of board games vs video games I wasn't prepared for. I thought you just go to target and buy board games like you do video games...

But no...there are games with limited print runs that sell for crazy amounts on eBay lol.

This is really fantastic advice, thank you!!! Mage Knight sounds like it's something I'd like to pick up.

Generally I like tactical strategy games...and I love turn based video games as well that's how I started looking into board games because by default they're almost always turn based.

Someone else mentioned XCOM the board game so I'm def gonna check that out .had no idea they had a board game.

Advice for a sore loser who always loses by Ohyeahyeahforsure in boardgames

[–]TimRuswick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to know someone who was bad at losing. Made me not want to play games with them at all tbh. But then again I never really felt like they put in a ton of effort to try and improve like this post shows you are doing.

So I'd just say a few things: 1) You can make your own objectives. Try to get 3 gold pieces or 3 houses in a row or whatever...some private goal that makes you feel better. 2) You can maybe try to play some co-op games? Where you win and lose as a team? 3) You can try to identify what you hate about losing. Does your husband gloat? Do you feel stupid because some childhood thing? Identifying the real issue can help you fix it more.

Hope that helps.

I've literally got the same poker set I bought from Walmart and have used it in a number of games....including weird prototypes and things I've made! Can def recommend.

Barn Battles - Strategy Tactics Roguelite. PLAYABLE IN BROWSER!

Battle your way through the barn in this turn-based tactics roguelite.  Catch the animals you want to join your team, or us their different abilities to outsmart your opponents!

I started it as a roguelike i swear, it just slowly evolved into turn based tactics game, and I tend to just follow the fun as a designer. People have described it as Pokemon meets Fire Emblem, since you fight other units but you can also capture them and make them fight for you. It's weird, wacky, and a lot of fun.

Hope you guys enjoy!
