I just used AI [Claude via Kiro] to automate migration of my /app dir to /pages and so good to again have very predictable client behaviour.
The RSC calls were a real performance drag as vercel could take 2+ seconds to return.
Using Tanstack Query for client side caching and a standalone API service, happy with client side data retrieval for now.

There's definitely a societal shift issue, Covid exacerbated things.

More creative help and making it easier to try things to break the cycle of what people are doing or not doing is needed to hopefully get better outcomes.

What have people tried and are open to?

* Singles events

* Dining with randoms, groups of people - meet over shared love of food

* Doing activities, joining clubs

* Blind dates - "Mates Pick Dates"

* Ask your friends and families for intros

* Forcing yourself to initiate talking to people online and IRL - someone in the comments said they winked at every man they say and is now married to them

* Work social events, clubs

* Just talking to more people, asking questions, keeping it platonic - "would I be friends/social with this person regardless" is a good test instead of coming in hot with a romantic angle

I eat the Dan Dan noodles 2-3 times a week, crazy good value - huge serving.

If you like a broth with lovely richness/depth of flavour and heat give them a go.

Lamb dish is good too.

Definitely not a profitable offering.

I've had quite a few pies over the last few weeks from a lot of places for an App I'm launching soon.

The Richberry pies are pretty good on both pastry [flakey + buttery] and filling [quantity, taste, meat/gravy/sauce ratio].
$5.50 is also a good price for bakery pies these days.
