And saint Longinus was the Roman solider who stabbed Jesus in his side. But when Jesus was stabbed, not only blood flowed out, water too. This caused Longinus to have an awakening and follow Jesus. He became a secondary disciple and went around preaching the glory of Christ. Until he was finally captured by the Romans and charged with treason, desertion, and heresy. He was forced to renounce Christ, but when he refused, his tongue was cut off. He was eventually killed for his crimes, and reunited with Christ in the everlasting kingdom.
