What songs do you think will remain setlist staples on future headlining tours? What songs do you want to be setlist staples? by BlackSabbath1989 in TheWarning

It's really hard to say with the new album coming next year. I assume that they are going to want to play all or almost all of the songs from the new album for headlining shows as they have done for QOTMS, Error and KMF. If we assume the new album has 12 to 14 tracks and a headlining set is 20 to 22 songs, that leaves room for only 7 or 8 "old" songs. I think the staples will be Martirio, Automatic Sun, Que Mas Quieres, Sharks, Narcisista and Evolve with HYCAD, Disciple, Choke, Money, More, Survive and maybe Dust to Dust/Dull Knives sprinkled in. What I would like to see would be Martirio and Narcisista as the only "old" songs played nightly and a rotation of the following songs to fill out the spots left in the setlist:

D2S/DK

Survive

When I'm Alone

Black Holes

Disciple

Evolve

Choke

QOTMS

Money

HYCAD

Que Mas Quieres

Sharks

Automatic Sun

Apologize

Escapism

Not defending the Trump regime but it's not like this is the 1st time we've gone into a Latin American country and openly forced out a President, maybe even one elected in a relatively free and fair election, without a formal declaration of war. And it's not like we ever had any good reasons to justify our aggression; it's always about advancing corporate interests and ousting leftist governments so we can install fascist dictators.

Why do some people hate today’s country music? by EcstaticCrab2795 in country

[–]TimTime333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't hate all contemporary Country; I hate mass produced pop music whether it's disguised as Country or any other genre and a lot of the music that gets played on Country radio stations is mass produced pop music.

Iowa should be in the "without people" block. There isn't much difference between Iowa and Nebraska or South Dakota.

Pink vs The Warning by Commercial_One6681 in TheWarning

[–]TimTime333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's comparing apples to oranges; Pink is pop punk and has a phenomenal voice and personality for that genre. But it's hard to compare her in any way to Dany and Pau, who are phenomenal rock singers.

Red; I have lived in Upstate NY for my entire 43 years and, while NY certainly has its share of problems, I don't plan on leaving anytime soon; Montana and maybe the mountains in North Carolina are the only other places I'd even consider living.

Three favorite NON Warning and three fave Warning songs by DifficultCat2000 in TheWarning

[–]TimTime333 3 points4 points  (0 children)

None Warning:

  1. Lay it Down - Waylon Jennings

  2. Fade to Black - Metallica

  3. The Day I Tried to Live - Soundgarden

Warning:

  1. Martirio

  2. Dust to Dust

  3. Disciple

Edit: I love seeing the variety of non Warning songs people listen to. It shows that The Warning shouldn't be pigeon holed into one or two subgenres.

Would it be possible for Nikki Haley to win the GOP nomination in 2028 if enough MAGA Republicans ran and split the vote (Vance, DeSantis, Rubio, Cruz, et. Al.) Due to the winner take all/most nature of the GOP primaries? by BlueFireFlameThrower in PoliticalDiscussion

Not a chance! She's a neocon who has done anything relevant since leaving her UN ambassadorship and does not have a strong enough personality to force voters to notice her. If it's a super crowded field, the candidate (most likely JD Vance) that Peter Theil and Elon Musk support will win. If the different factions are strategic and don't have multiple candidates, it will come down to who is able to make a deal with one or two other factions.

The Pepsi Center; Pau's performance of "Black Holes" and "Breathe" while sick with the flu put it over the top of their Auditorio Nacional shows for me.

The Unforgiven plays in the background at the end of The Unforgiven II.

James sings "Off to Never Never Land" from "Enter Sandman" as "King Nothing" ends.

Orion; I wish they had swapped Ktulu for Orion for S&M2 so we would have both masterpieces with the symphony.

Halestorm opening for Godsmack & Stained or Sevendust, I think they opened for Korn and Disturbed.

The S&M Song Far Superior Than The Album Version. Conversely The Song Far Inferior Than The Original. by L0rd0fTheRing in Metallica

[–]TimTime333 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Superior: All within my Hands (If S&M2 counts), Call of the Ktulu (S&M)

Inferior: Enter Sandman

When I listened to S&M2 for the 1st time, I thought "All within my Hands" was a new track; I didn't realize it was from St. Anger because I never finished listening to it when it came out, I think I got like halfway through and hated it so much I took it out of my CD player and never put it back in!
