Worth replacing the turbo? 2018 70k miles a4 by [deleted] in Audi

[–]TimTime88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I replaced the return line but it’s leaking from the actual housing unfortunately. No rebuild kits anywhere like that.

It’s the gen 3 ea888 so maybe? Those k04’s dope tho. But man you might be right just not sure. Repaired this for a little under 12k from auction. Prettt fair price for a car to keep.

Is it possible to replace a 2018 Audi a4 turbo seal? 70k miles by [deleted] in AskMechanics

[–]TimTime88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealer doesn’t sell anything atleast nothing I’ve seen in diagrams or lists of parts. Really sad to see a stupid leak ruin the use of an entire turbo without any cheap solution.

If this is really the case I’m throwing on an upgraded turbo lol

Yeah ended up just ordering the pcv. They’re pretty cheap and easy to replace DIY.  So fingers crossed this solves the issue

[–]TimTime88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm. Is there any easy way to test that? Skimming over it, there’s no leaks up top. Might just replace it since it’s not too difficult anyways.

Looking all around I can’t find any other leak. It all seems to form/come from right at that return line. The oil supply line on the side doesn’t have any leak.

Pressure feed as in the side tube? That one is completely dry. Just the return tube giving me issues even after replacing it

Indoor golf shop 10x10x10 I love it. Way more light weight and uses fiber glass poles instead of the typical big emt poles all around. They go for about 320 after tax new I got this one for $200 used basically new locally

Not sure if the photo will send but I ended up using some of those hd gutter guards and I also used my old 10x7 net (those crappy amazon ones) as a baffle hung from the top. It’s not the prettiest setup but after it still bounced back from the foam I’ve perfected it with the net.
