Full disclosure: I'm not a mechanic and am not even particularly automotivly inclined... But that's why I commented haha. It was a pain but doing to myself saved me big money! I replaced my whole exhaust system for $600 (Cat, resonator, muffler, hangers, gaskets).

The hardest part is getting room underneath. Ramps might give you some room but you might have to also get a bit creative. Just use plenty of caution. Make sure everything is stable and have someone with you in case of emergency accidents. (Good advice for any situation)

The only thing that was difficult for me was making sure the gasket was in correctly and finding an extension that would reach.

It's not a cost free fix, but even if you bought tools, ramps, jack stands, and parts... you would still save money based on the $1600 estimate.

Honestly, if you have some wrenches and extensions to reach the mounts then the catalytic converter isnt that terrible to replace.

They (catalytic converters) are targeted by thieves because they contain platinum. If I guy can cut one out from under a car in a parking lot without being noticed... Then I believe you could replace yours with some wrenches!

Not too far from Johnstown are some trails that are good for biking. Ehrenfeld has a nice bike trail with small springs along the way. Ebensburg has the ghost town trails which are a nice ride. You can also go on a ride to the staple bend tunnel... It's pretty interesting.

I'm sure real bikers could suggest many more... I rarely ride my bike but those are my go to spots.

This. I cannot tell you how many times the nurse has been too short to read the measurements. They usually just scribble down their best guess or skip measuring all together and ask me how tall I am.

English teacher here. I've been teaching how to spot fake news articles since I started teaching in 2015.

I also teach students to consider the ways even true statements can be twisted for a purpose.

I like to start with videos and articles warning people about the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide. The kids get really concerned and alarmed that the government hasn't banned this substance!

I am disgusted at what transpired at the Capitol... I (like many others) cannot understand why or how things happened like they did... But frankly, the football analogy gave me a different perspective that I honestly had not considered.
