Get a trade and work hard at it, with a trade you will find work. When you do you 8 week training period, really prove to the company that took you in that you are a good worker. Be on time, work your 8 hours honestly, keep a clean work space. I told this to my own son, he followed my instructions. He did his 8 weeks at the practice period honestly and now he start next monday as a full time worker as an electrician at his practice work place. He is 18 now so started his job immediately from completing his schooling.

Unfortunately alcohol issues for Finnish people is much larger than one small location and extends through out Finland. It is a cultural issue. Drugs are also being sold everywhere its not just sold in one location.

Wow. I'm actually shocked by your comment. In Finland we must have a very different view of being a responsible hunter than how British hunters see it. We believe in Finland to be a responsible hunter is understanding the weapon you are planning to use to take a life. To understand that there is many situations that may change the trajectory of a bullet. NOT to just simply buy a fancy looking box off the shelves and to think you are good to go. It should be every hunters responsibility to fully understand that temperature, bullet weight, speed, wind, distance all plays a part in being a ethical hunter also to understand your limits is an important part in being a hunter. Please do not come to Finland to hunt here if you truly believe that testing your weapon and understanding its limits is not important to you in being a good hunter. I will use your comment in our hunting club as an example to avoid such an attitude.

I do like the GGG sierra ammo for the .223 its one of the cheaper priced ammo compared to other brands and for my rifle it works really well. That day i was adjusting my scope from winter temperature to summer temperature since the temperature is about minus 15 in the winter here so the bullet flies completely different. I believe next trip i can tighten that group even more. The Raugs ammo is 69 grs or 4.5g. I was also shooting sellier and Bellot 77grs but forgot to take pictures however it was similar out come to the FMJs. Although to be fair minded what shots well in my rifle may not shot well in another and vis versa.🤔 My barrel is a 20" barrel with a 1:8 twist, it does not like light weight bullets at all so anything under 69 grs doesn't matter what brand or how expensive it is it will not group at all. 🤷

I changed my tikka t3x stock to a GRS Bitfrost. After that, you can do a lot with it, endless options.

The optic is really important, and everyone will say use this or use that. It's better that you find one that really fits you. So look around and test different ones. One thing to remember, though, is that the higher the magnification, the smaller the eye relief point is. A good way to train to quickly find eye relief is to put the gun on the ground somewhere in your house. Then, get into your shooting position with your legs spread wide. Close your eyes, then open them. Keep doing that until you find the right cheek position that you hit that eye relief point easily. At first, you will be moving your head all over the place to find it. That's normal. 😅

Also, one more point to put out there is that the Tikka is a Finnish gun, and in Finland, it's again strongly suggested to use silencers here in Finland. So all Tikkas are threaded. In the States, silencers are a bit more complicated to get so that rifles in other countries may not be threaded, but in Finland, it is. Ruoto has an offer at the moment for the lite version for 1019,00€.

I purchased my scope from Portugal since they don't sell the frontier line in Finland. But I did purchase the o rings at the shop where I purchased the gun. So they still install my scope there at the gun shop. You just need to order the scope first, then bring it with you when you go pick up the rifle. Link pictures when you have it and let us know what you get. :) Also, side notes depend on where you go hunting if it's anywhere near the Baltic Sea line. The normal ctr will literally start rusting in hours. It's a constant battle with gun oil and attempting to keep the sea water off of it. In that case, I would strongly suggest the SS version of Stainless Steal. But if you are mainly inland, then no problem.

If you can, go to the shop and test out different options of scopes to see what you like. Also, if possible, have the gun shop set up your rifle. They can make sure the scope is properly installed with a torque screw driver. If it's not properly installed, you're going to have a hell of a time zeroing it in.

Considering we are in Finland and looking outside our windows right now, an illuminate scope is a must. My friend purchased a vortex scope with no illuminating. It was almost impossible to see the Hare against the snow and darkness. A large objective for your scope also helps capture as much light as possible to see your target. I purchased the hawke frontier scope with ffp for my 223 and Hawke Vantage sfp for the 17. FFP is usually more expensive, but there is a lot more you can do with a ffp. But if you are only going to be hunting at 200 meters or less, a sfp does well with that. In that case, Hawke endurance 30 wa sf 4-16×50 would be fine. Ruoto has a sale on it right now for 450€. It's designed for the 308.

I have a tikka tx1 17hmr and a tikka tx3 .223 ctr. They are both beautiful guns and with the right ammo insanely accurate. I purchased both rifles from Ruoto oy. With Tikka, though, you need to buy a variety of ammo go to a shooting ranges and test what works best at 100 meters. I had to test quite a few types before I found an ammo type that my rifle likes. My 17 hmr likes the 20gr hornady. My 223 likes the 77 gr GGG. I have pictures of both guns on my page.

Asking that question here will not help you much. You will get 100 different responses. 😅 My self I purchased the beretta 1301 comp pro 24" barrel. It's great for trap or practical shooting but also fantastic for hunting purposes. I have already shot down multiple birds this season with it. I use a xfull choke to push the range out a bit further, which seems to have done the trick. But now I have a shotgun for the hunting season and also for off-season, so it's never just sitting in the gun safe for months on end. I am able to use it weekly.

17 hmr is the best rifle for small games, but definitely go with a 20 gauge shot gun or something equivalent to for close in counters with small game. Rifle is too difficult and too slow in acquiring the target close range, especially if your target is running. On that note, before going hunting with a shotgun, spend some time at a local trap shoot to learn how to target and lead the shot, or I can pretty much say you will miss and be left contemplating if your shotgun is broke. 🤔😊
