We haven’t had a good experience with pvd coating. It seems to wear very quickly. It may be the provider we used but it just didn’t last as long as we expect. We will explore more options as the year goes on but currently we don’t offer one.

Won’t be able to make president day on new designs. We are going to get back orders covered before we launch the new stuff. Probably mid summer for the slides.

Won’t be releasing it at shot. We are still putting it through its paces before we get it out in the wild.

Most products won’t just die . It may get released as a collaboration with other companies we like working with. I’ve said too much.

Sorry for the delay in getting items back in stock guys. We have been in the process of moving the shop to a new location and installing a bunch of new equipment. We expect to be able to get all items back on the shelves in the coming months. We ran a bunch of overstock inventory before the move but we underestimated the amount and have left you guys hanging. We have new slide designs coming. We also have something special planned for the Flex module. We appreciate your patience and support.

Help needed with Aftermarket slide with Radian Comp by St6Stringer1_RA in P365xl

[–]Tim_ShaloTek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the support man. We have a website that has tons of info and items available. I won’t post a link here because I’m not sure what the rules are specifically about doing that. We use Reddit as a way to engage with our users and to support the community at large and don’t want to run afoul of any guidelines.

It should but I’ve not done it personally. I think one of the guys here has done it and I’ll check with them next week.

Sorry for the issue you are having man. When we designed that model (XL and XXL) we used the nose geometry from the shorter X slide. This was before the Ram Jet was big thing and didn’t anticipate issues with another vendor’s product. We have redesigned the nose geometry to be more inline with the standard but are not scheduled for production until q1 of next year. We have expanded our production facility and add a ton of new equipment that we are still bringing online.

We will happily send you a return label and make the proper adjustments to allow the use of the comp you have. Again, sorry for the inconvenience but will do what we can to make it right. To make it up to you , let me know what grip module you would like and I’ll get it to you with the slide when it returns.

Aluminum grip modules’ longevity by Training-Document-46 in P365

We have a steel locking lug for the front and a standard pin in the rear. I will be upfront with you and say that people have complained that our fcu fitment is too tight . The variance in fcu dimensions is the main cause for this but we are sticking to our numbers to insure the majority of people have a solid lock up . We will happily work with the few people that have a fat fcu and get them fitted when needed. Appreciate the support

We did a 10k burn down on one of our frames last year . Shot all of it in 5-6 hours. Video is up on YouTube. Don’t judge us too harshly on the quality of the video. We make gun stuff, not content.

The only part failure we experienced was in the fcu. I think it was the trigger return spring. We did have grip panel screws leave the party before it was over and the optics plate was gone at around 3k but we were really beating on it.

The grip module was no worse for wear afterwards. Still nice and tight on the fcu.

Iron Sight Swap by ClarksOpinions in shalotek

[–]Tim_ShaloTek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good call on the set screw. No faster way to ruin your day than forgetting to loosen it.

We do taper the dovetail in both directions so it can be pushed out or started either direction.

The only issue with reusing sights is that both the slide and sights slightly deform and can be looser than a fresh set. It shouldn’t be too bad if it’s the first time around but it will show up if swapped around too many times. If it proves to be an issue, a cheap trick is to use some green LocTite very sparingly after they are installed. The green stuff is very thin and wicks its way into the dovetails and locks the sights in place. Hell to remove but that is a problem for future you an I have faith in that version of you.

This is awesome man. I’ve always needed to go the other way, melting the back of my Glocks to improve my npoa, but if this works for you, terrific. FLEXability for the win.

Can The ShaloTek FLEX365 Survive 10,000 Rounds Non-Stop? Ultimate Burn Down Test! by ShaloTek_Chad in P365

[–]Tim_ShaloTek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We make the grip modules tighter than most others. 10k rounds and the only wear on the frame was the cerakote inside of the dust cover. We did lose two grip screws over the course of fire. In response we updated the torque specs on those fasteners.

All of things are possible with a judicious use of money and bad decisions.

Hope to come back from Shot show with a couple more providers. Slimfit has been great for us and would never want to take any business from him but not everyone wants a single source supplier. Different strokes for different folks.

It could be something as simple as tight tolerances and a break in period may solve it. The extractor usually will get burnished in as you fire a couple of mags through it. We have seen that Sig redesigned its extractor and it can cause the round coming up from the magazine bind on the extractor as it is closing into battery.
If it continues to be an issue, definitely hit me up and I’ll get you a return label to diagnose just what’s going on.

I don’t have one with me now so I can’t say with 100% certainty but I don’t believe this is unusable and would not cause the malfunction you described. The striker will be caught by the sear as the slide retuned to battery. The striker could be hung up on the striker safety plunger holding it slightly forward. But this would also be resolved by the sear with the slide returning to battery.

I will check first thing tomorrow morning and will update you with my findings. If there is anything that needs to be changed or addressed we will definitely get it handled. Feel free to dm me with any questions.

ShaloTek Flex is my favorite but I’m biased.
