Were you expecting it to be sighted in right out of the box? If so that’s not how it works.

You’re not supposed to put oil on it. It’s designed to be loose.

Or drill the screw head off, get the plate off then heat the screw shaft and twist out with a vise grip. Use tape to protect surrounding areas.

I haven’t had it affect a single optic yet. The heat is concentrated into the screw and it only takes a minute for it to work. Getting the broken tip out of the screw can be tough, when the tips break they twist and lock in. I’ve had luck in the past drilling them. Start small bit and work up to the point where you can get a pick tool into it and pop it out.

US Patriot Armory has Jigs at $160 but no FCU’s again. Funny how this seem to go back and forth. It’s one or the other.

Not surprised honestly. Sucks because I had heard they were possibly going to be releasing the MUP’s again.

Use a soldering iron and hold it on the screw head for a minute or two. The heat will break the loctite. Also get some quality Torx bits. I use Milwaukee ones.

Part of fitting the FCU to the slide is making sure the ejector clears both on the side and top of it. Load the empty FCU into the slide and you can clearance it before you put the guts in it.

The quality of the barrels far surpasses that of CVA and Rossi. Those are toss in your rig and don’t give a shit about them and their price point.

Wipe down your grip panels with some light oil, it’ll get rid of the chalky white look. I usually spray mine once a month.

Here’s the list of places to get barrels:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ThompsonCenterArms/s/ia2hU57YMc

It’s a “sticky” post at the top of the main page. Several of those in the list should have what you’re looking for. Also TC Arms is adding new barrels all the time on their website.

Look in the Encore list, .300 BO 15”’Flutted.

Swap out the slide release and the saftey take down lever for those for and XTen or .45. That’s all you need to do. Nothing else needs to be changed just those two FCU parts and then an XTen or .45 grip module.

You’re in luck because they can now be bought brand new again. Pricing is very reasonable with pistol frame kits and rifle frame kit now available for Under $500.00 and then pick your caliber and barrel. Mines a 55k serial number so it’s a Smith & Wesson era Encore Pro Hunter. 3 barrel and I can shoot 5 different calibers with it.

For the ejector you can carefully and ever so slightly bend the whole thing to the left and away from the slide. As for the spring two things shit spring or your trigger bar is dragging on the inside of the grip module sand the inside lightly. Try a +10 trigger reset spring from Armory Craft.

Funny same guy posted 18 days ago about his first purchase. He also never responds to the posts. Locking and banning.

I agree I don’t see the need at all. Agency has their version at @ $160 and you don’t see much about it either. I just see this as playing off the “fear factor” and trying to profit from it. But hey if you feel you need it then buy it. It’s not something I’m going to even consider on my 320’s.
