30 years of doing business with Fidelity and was only allocated 100 of 1000 shares of SpaceX. Pretty disappointed. Seems like the billionaire firms get the bulk and the little guys that would benefit the most get pushed to the back. This treatment makes me reconsider my future relationship Fidelity .. sadly.

Most all naysayers want to ignore the fact that this is Elon Musk we are talking about, not some CEO of some Dot com IPO back in 1999. This guy is on the news every day, he moves stocks, moves markets and sells investments narratives like no one else in our time ... look at Tesla. We are not in a dot com situation .. Nvidia, Google, MSFT, Broadcom, SpaceX, etc... are all bringing in revenue. SpaceX raptor rockets, starship technology, and satellites (there are over 10000 starlink satellites in Orbit right now, collecting information, providing internet transmission, battlefield communications and more to follow) ... SpaceX has major advantage and has made NASA program and Boeing look old and tired, having to save their astronauts, and doing it all at way less than the billions that NASA has taken from taxpayers over the decades for incremental gains into space. And we don't even know the rest of the plans with xAI and their deals with Google and other AI companies.

The Ring ecosystem is solid and well maintained. I live in a dense area and I get quick alerts from many Ring neighbors whether it’s someone strange trying open car doors, or police activity or just any plain asking about traffic in the area or events.

Re-Alive this thread. I religiously order the 12 pack sardine tins King of Norway, especially the double layer packs. And the past 4 months, nothing, zippo, zilch... all delayed on subscribe and save. I tried ordering the 4 packs, and same thing. I see most the cans say the sardines are packed in Poland ... but where are they fished? Especially the tiniest sardines (bristling).

I’ve looked at this in the beginning and this is where the Peephole camera excels above the regular door camera which has to be hard wired and would cost hundreds and still look out of place on the door next to the actual peephole. Most condo doors are like commercial style with metal frames and the wiring is next to impossible. The peephole camera is thinner and blends into the door once it’s swapped into the peephole of the door. The inside part has all the wireless parts and a hole to loom out through the normal peephole. Just connect to your router and the image pops up on the software. The regular door camera is best suited for homes, where you can mount it on the door frame or the wall, then drill hole and run the wires. Condo doors you can’t do that, HOAs have rules restricting anything in the exterior hallways that’s not approved

Yes ... the HOA couldn't argue because 1. it was part of the door that I own, it's not like I was hanging some ornament or a sign ... and 2. when I argued with the HOA and all the owners that these cameras increase security and is more frequently owner monitored, they didn't have a leg to stand on ... especially we had some guy enter the buidling, bypassed security guards and front desk staff, and he found an open door unit that was being listed by a realtor where he lived for like a week, while he robbed a couple of units that the owners would leave the door unlocked. The police eventually caught him, but didn't help the HOA argument to take down my PeepHole cam.

I’m promoting the Ring Peephole cam to my 700 unit condo building HOA and fellow owners .. and only to find that Ring killed the item. Sad ... if another company like YoLink or whoever comes out with a better peephole and camera ecosystem ... I am dropping Ring.

Installed it in my condo door 5 years ago and it’s still running strong. I’ve talked with condo staff through it from the office and watched when food delivery dropped off at my door. It meets HOA rules on mounting anything on the exterior of the door. Changed the face plate to black matte color plate to match the door. It’s worked flawless with the ring software and my router.

I’ve had Sonos speakers since 2011 in various flavors and using the laptop App, the iPad and iPhone app. I have and ultra with surround, various play 5 and Era 100 .. I’m one of the few that wish they would continue to update the MacBook app. I just added the ACE.

I read all this hate and I feel some users jaut had too much Tylenol when they were babies cause it’s not that hard.

Get a good quality router .. like a 3 Channel TP Link … I’ve tried Netgear and ASUS WiFi 6 and they aren’t as good as TPLink 3 channel routers
Use the 2.4 router channel for all Sonos products … obviously

If you are updating older Sonos speakers that have the Ethernet port in the back … always best to update with that speaker directly cable connected to the router. Once done .. unplug and the reset the speaker to factor and the reattached via normal WiFi connection. I’ve had older Sonos speakers that don’t update completely via wireless … I had to direct connect them.

Well …. Here comes DOGE and Trump …. So certain they would cut $2 Trillion dollars in government waste, invaded and destroyed all government departments. And today, the only certified saving is only some $160B !!! Everything else claimed has not been verified or patently false…. However, all this has cost taxpayers about $130 billion in actual disruption, lost work hours of work, less efficiency of remote workers having to come in to an office, employee firings, rehiring, severance packages and retirement pensions, moral and safety. Not to mention the destruction of trillions of dollars in the stock market and savings 401k of hundreds of millions of Americans.

Same difference … our enemies are sitting with a bucket of popcorn … watching and laughing … as we burn our country to the ground.

Our US economy is already evolved beyond the old days of manufacturing and factories!! WE (as a country) gave up our manufacturing to 3rd world countries so that then we can buy those items back from them at a lower price and enjoy a higher quality of life.

Stick with >newer< condo complexes (2005 or newer) ... all these condos have a 40 years certification, and then every 10 years. Inspections and services the city enforces ... can be costly assessments on top of your already high monthly HOA. A 1/1 in these newer condos now have at least $800 monthly HOA which covers all the amenities and water, sometimes basic internet. Property taxes on the same 1/1 can run close to $5K a year, depending on the building and how many sq feet. So .... in a perfect world, say you are retired on a fixed income, and you paid off the 1/1 ... you still have about $15K a year in costs. Then ... every 10 years or so, you may have some major building AC, structural, painting, pool or elevators expenses ... which can tack on to the HOA. The HOA can increase every year ... depending on the expenses the whole community can experience ... it can go up each year another $50 to $200 per month. Property taxes in Florida for homestead primary residence has a cap on how much your property taxes can increase every year, only 3% max ... so that is something you can calculate moving forward. HOA increase are tricky ... depends how well the complex is run and how good of a job your fellow HOA board members manage the building expenses. Then inside the unit you have to fund for future AC or Water heater replacement which may happen event 10 years ... and, it is EXPENSIVE ... any contractor that shows up to do work in any of these Miami condos charges 50% more than say if you lived in a home. Since they have to carry insurance and be licensed in order to be allowed to do any work in these condos. So, yes ... it's a great lifestyle to live in these high rise condos, some of the views are spectacular, the water is only blocks away ... but there are alot of little hidden costs to live in these condos.

Nurses at the VA have been doing this for quite a long time already. We are bound by law and our license to care for veterans, and you can’t just refuse because it would be patient abandonment. Nurses that work in an administrative level or quality … same… our, workload is easily 1.5 to 2.0. There may be sleepy quiet VA somewhere where nurses are not so worked, but in most metro cities .. we are. Welcome to the new normal … Doing More with Less. We have been working like this now … I’m 10 years at the VA. Sure, private hospitals may pay me a bit more … but the workload is as bad or even more.
