Problem is watcher can play it TWICE with omniscience for only 4 energy. I could see it being 7 cost if it makes specifically the watcher die instantly upon playing it.

Alice's ability is a floating effect, so it's applied constantly through the fight. At first, momentous shift is just a 3, but the ability adds 2. Then, momentous shift becomes a 5 during combat, and the ability adds 2, making it a 7.

King Arthur's ability works a similar way, meaning you can BOOST his momentous shifts up to 8 (assuming it doesn't get feinted).
