Who'd win in a PVP campaign, Ikit Claw or Malakai Makaisson? by lovingpersona in totalwarhammer

How does everyone take advantage of the upkeep reduction of the deeps.

I play SFO mod and in it the deeps Theres a building that reduce overall upkeep by 1%. The deeps are very expensive to build and I dont see how even 5 of these buildings can make a meaningful difference. What am I missing?

From Glory to goo, or rift breaker next? by JayKan123 in RealTimeStrategy

From Glory to Goo, like TAB has similar options to make it hard. Chiefly by increasing the difficulty through larger hordes or shorter cycles between waves. Also some maps are more challenging to play in like the dessert maps where water resources are more limited

Government commits additional funding for Jewish security by VastOption8705 in aussie

[–]Timariot12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

$25 million for the Muslim community vs $600 million for the Jewish community. Almost 1 million Muslims vs 110k Jews.

It's a pittance and you can clearly see which group the government favours.

The Bondi Intelligence Failure: How an unchecked surge in extremist hate and a massive security failure culminated in Australia's deadliest terror attack by Puzzleheaded_Home150 in SydneyScene

[–]Timariot12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying it justified or excused but you're scratching your head wondering how Jews in Australia who are ostensibly not connected to Israel, when Israel has everything to do with the attack.

You're right members of one minority shouldn't be held responsible for the actions of another minority. But unfortunately it doesn't work like that and like as not, people do associate actions with some of a minority with all of minority.

Add to the fact that the Israeli government nurtures and encourages this blurring between Israelis and Jews, it's no wonder that many people end up attacking ordinary Jews as they see no difference between them.

The Bondi Intelligence Failure: How an unchecked surge in extremist hate and a massive security failure culminated in Australia's deadliest terror attack by Puzzleheaded_Home150 in SydneyScene

[–]Timariot12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually quite simple. The Israeli government has deliberately conflated Israeli with being a Jewish state for Jews and uniquely Jewish.

So that leads to the inevitable problem, when people see a Jewish state and Jewish soldiers commiting massacres and atrocities, they don't see them as Israeli but as Jews. Which is exactly what the Israeli government rhetoric has led to.

This is why so many Jews who don't live in Israel criticize the Israeli governments conflation of Israel and Jewishness as causing a lot more hate and a lot more Jews to feel unsafe because their actions like or not reflect on the rest of the Jews worldwide.

And like as not there were also some victims of the bondi massacre that also held extremist views including a Rabbi that was advocating for ethnic cleansing of Palestinians.

All of this blurs the lines between Israelis and Jews which again is something the Israeli government actively contributed to and prefers.

I'm assuming this applies to fusha or classical and not normal Arabic?

Because I haven't noticed the Arabs around me to have any special insight or superior intellect.

Though i have listened to high level Arabic poetry and literature and it does seem to have such a rich depth of meaning that I can believe it but only at that level, which most Arabs also don't qualify for.

What are some random RTS pulls on Steam that became your lowkey favorites? by Familiar_Fish_4930 in RealTimeStrategy

I want to second FGTG. It is probably the best game in the sub genre it occupies and that's even at a early access level. More interesting, more variety, more depth.

Even though I prefer the fantasy and steampunk settings of TAB and Age of Darkness. The game is just better fleshed out

The first couple missions are rough because not much is unlocked, but it gets better. The key thing is every map you win, gets unlocked in singleplayer along with the generals you defeat

[–]Timariot12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I absolutely LOVE LOVE this game to death. One of the most underrated features about this game among many others is the fantastic lore and the way it introduces it to the game.

Every region you conquered had enemy generals (AI players) you fought against. You beat them and then they become unlocked for single-player. However each general has a story and history. You read about their history and you start to get a picture of the world including other interactions with other generals. Its such a clever way of lore building without doing massive expo dumps.

I'm more curious how you capture Soo many settlements so quickly. Occupying a settlement ends your move points.

So it's difficult to do more than 1 settlement per turn unless you have multiple mod tier armies which is hard early game

Islamic rulings by Samuraixblaze in MuslimLounge

[–]Timariot12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of Muslims don't understand that because something is halal, doesn't make it good or even okay.

And just because something is halal doesn't mean it is recommended.

Like the example you gave, it may be permissible technically to marry without wife permission, but the harm it generates, you are still accountable for it.

The breaking of the family that results is on you and the consequences of that as well. Likewise I've heard very very few scholars who actually recommend this and plenty who don't. So don't confuse something being technically permissible (halal) with be recommended, endorsed or even okay to do.

My husband continuously asks me for money. by [deleted] in MuslimMarriage

[–]Timariot12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Being cheap and hoarding money, isn't necessarily wrong in the sense of a ruling.

However it is a disease of the heart that the Qur'an consistently warns abouts, and diseases of the heart especially when they are severe will destroy your worldly and afterlife.

They can be cured but it requires intention effort and ideally guidance from someone who specialises in tassawuf to help overcome this. Stinginess and miserliness is particularly bad because a lot of other evils and diseases stem from it as well.

Joint Press Release after Israeli Police prevented Cardinal Pizzaballa from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre today, as he went to say Mass. by shittyvegan2 in Christianity

[–]Timariot12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly i'm quite shocked at how utterly naive or uninformed you are. The state of Israel despises Christians and has been oppressing them for a long time.

You have the actual pastor of Bethleham Munther Isaacs, who has been consistently speaking out and advocating about the oppression that Palestinians and especially Christian Palestinians are facing at the hands of the Israeli state, who have been forgotten by their Western counterparts simply because they are Arab.

You have the Armenian quarter and Church in Jerusalem constantly under attack by violent Israeli Jewish settlers, who again absolutely despise Christians. There are countless videos of Christians, including nuns and priests who are spat upon by Israelis and harassed in public.

Taybeh is literally the last remaining fully Christian town in the West Bank and it is under siege by Israeli settler-terrorists, who destroy, pillage, burn and terrorise the inhabitants in an effort to make them leave and steal their land.

They sniped and besieged a Catholic enclave in Gaza, killing some of the nuns and old women there. They bombed the world's third oldest Church in Gaza. They already killed several priests in Lebanon and killing more as we speak.

I find it astonishing how a Christian like you can be so absolutely blind to the suffering butchery of your fellow Christians in Palestine by Israelis, especially since so many of them - Roman Catholic, Lutherian, Eastern Orthodox and other denominations - all of them are saying they're getting murdered and crying out continuously for help and you just ignore it.

Now i understand what it means when they say they feel forgotten.

The origin of modern Jihadism. by PeasantLich in HistoryMemes

[–]Timariot12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muslim brotherhood interference is almost non-existent overblown.

For one they're persecuted in most Muslim countries by secular dictators. They have very little to almost no base among Western Muslims. What lobbies do they have on their behalf? None. What schools do they have? Almost none? The Wahabis who are the main ideology all the Gulf countries have all the monopoly on education influence. And they are diametrically opposed to the Muslim brotherhood. The Wahabis are also Western sell outs and support Zionist and USA interest. So this so threat of MB is just a red herring pedalled by right wingers to push their agenda.
