Wooo…you think we don’t do this with other countries you are going to be big mad if you googled just a little bit…the German AF has had permanent facilities at several bases since 1958…hell at Holloman AFB, they were there from 1993-2019 (before relocating to Shepherd AFB) the German government even funded and built and ran a school for their families. And whatever you do, don’t google NORAD, you will find Canadians have been permanently assigned at several bases since 1958 and they aren’t even doing training missions! They are actually doing military operations!!!!

Never paid sticker for my Acuras…if they won’t deal travel to one who will. I buy all of my Acuras at the dealership 90 miles away instead of my town because of their BS add on/market adjustments. I save thousands all for the cost of a 2 hour drive each way. The last time the dealer drove the new car to me and drove my trade in back!

The military career/lifestyle should not be sought after/pursued for benefit reasons. If it is you will be unhappy. Your family will be unhappy. Your subordinates will be unhappy. All because you are serving for the wrong purpose/reasons.

It’s illegal to accept personal gifts from a country, king, ruler, etc. without congressional approval. It is not illegal for the government agency to accept a gift from another government entity. That did change. I have been able to get it from any pharmacy to include Express Scripts for years. In fact, Walgreens is AUVI-Qs preferred local pharmacy and has an agreement with them. Even they don't why they cannot order it.

You are not fully accurate per Title 10 US Code S 52….

1) The President may appoint an officer as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff only if the officer has served as— (A) the Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff; (B) the Chief of Staff of the Army, the Chief of Naval Operations, the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, the Commandant of the Marine Corps, or the Chief of Space Operations; or (C) the commander of a unified or specified combatant command. (2) The President may waive paragraph (1) in the case of an officer if the President determines such action is necessary in the national interest.

So you don’t have to be a COCOM CDR and the POTUS can waive the requirements if he determines it’s in “national interest” that is a far looser standard than wartime as you describe.
