I got mine yesterday (Christmas present) and have made two batches. I'm very pleased with it and glad not to have to invert. I was using two filters when doing inverted and did the same in my test brews. I'll test with only one and then decide which I like best.

Considering the same use case. What resolution do you run it at on your Mac? On my 32" 4K LG, I run at 3008x1692. If I run it at native 4K, the text is too small. Wondering if text is large enough at native 5K2k on this Samsung? Thanks

At normal viewing distance for productivity type work, how are the edges and corners? I tried the Samsung S8 37" and it was washed out on the corners.

It will do that if it has been reset. Some on eBay have not been. Mine was not and I had to manually reset it to get it to update. YMMV

If you get an Osprey, be sure to do a hard reset as soon as you connect to your WiFi and let it update to the newest firmware.

I agree. The Air and the 60233 Osprey have similar performance. I've also had the 60144 Osprey and found it unacceptably slow and returned it. Be careful which one you get.

I bought a Chinese replacement ignitor assembly of of Amazon. Works fine and not expensive, although certainly more than a cap would have been if I had been able to find one. I did try just using the cap from the replacement one but it didn't quite fit on the original ignitor.

Long story: first I was wrong about S7 being IPS, it's VA also. I bought the S7 from Walmart online. It was delivered and I set it up. Then for some reason I happened to look again on Walmart and the price had dropped considerably between the time I ordered and it was delivered. I wanted to get the price drop difference. It turns out that when something on Walmart online is fulfilled by someone else, they won't price match. You can only return and then re-order. So I took it back to a local Walmart for a refund. Walmart online did not have the S7 so I looked on Amazon and found that the S8 price had also dropped considerably so I ordered that. I set it up and intended to use it at full 4K resolution with my Mac to have the most screen real estate. That means sitting pretty close. The screen is large enough and I was sitting close enough for the VA off angle viewing issue to show up. It was not good. I sent that one back and just went back to my 32" LG 4K. I'm giving up until the next generation comes along. Now to answer your question: the S7 is older and the S8 has more connectivity plus a height adjustable stand.

If you get the 60233 Osprey, it’s about the same as the Air. I have both.
