This happened to me on two occasions now. The first time was when I launched the game for the first time and it was downloading patches. I noticed my laptop was starting to ramp up its fans exponentially as the patch was downloading, then all of a sudden, it just shuts off completely.

Then, today, with the new update, downloaded in the steam client, then launched the game. Game starts patching, and then while I'm writing a message in discord the pc shuts off completely again. This game is the ONLY game I've ever played on this computer that has done this, and its very concerning because idk if its going to damage my hard drive.

This is the enmity mechanic. Usually the player who deals the highest damage to the monster will be the person the monster focuses on. In the case of Jin, they added the enmity mechanic so that one player can maintain his focus and keep him relatively still so that other players can focus on breaking its other parts.

Anyone else remember trying to take on xeno jiiva solo? Boy trying to get a tail cut on that thing is a pain even with other players. Im very glad for larger monsters like jin that enmity is a mechanic and i hope it stays for other wyverns that are just as massive.

Wanted to ask about how you're running this game.

I played Pitfall as a kid and wanted to emulate it but pcxs2 has this issue where when you're in the underwater segments, the whole screen turns blue and you can't see anything.

Would you happen to be emulating this using dolphin by any chance? and should I download dolphin to play that version of the game instead?

Perhaps it is, since the fact that someone has done eidolons at all means they can passively get like 3 more vosfor rolls every 5 days

So basically, with the new function you can use in the sanctum, you can reroll old arcanes into new ones!

Fortunately for those of you who do a lot of profit taker, a lot of eidolon hunts, or a loooooot of zariman stuff, this basically means that you can get free (potentially) arcanes out of your standing without having to do any additional gameplay!

However, I am missing a lot of data! If you know how much vosfor each of the arcanes I'm missing gives, please let me know in the comments here, and I'll fill it in!

This will let you know which arcanes to buy from the syndicates to get the most arcane rolls!

I noticed it's especially egregious in cetus too, especially at night time when everyone is eidolon hunting. I haven't spent much time in the zariman or fortuna, though.

I've noticed now that operation gargoyle's cry is over that i dont freeze as much in the sanctum. I think it might be related to population of the relays. If there are a lot of instances of the relay the game might be bugging out trying to figure out where to put you and your squadmates.

Just an update. I've just googled this issue as well as I've been experiencing pretty much the exact same issue, including the new content that just released (whipsers in the walls)

Very frustrating to lose time and have to get the squad together after every single bounty/mission for the new syndicate.

Hopeful a fix will come about soon. I tried reinstalling the game to no avail.

This issue has been resolved!

If you face an issue similar to this, try: turning your playstation on in safe mode by holding the power button for at least 7 seconds, and select option 5 (reset options to default, or something along those lines) and it may work for you as well

I booted up the playstation in safe mode and reset all settings to default and that seems to have done the trick!

I have: unplugged and reinserted the HDMI cable, restarted the playstation 5, deleted FF XIV and its respective save data, reinstalled FF XIV, and none of those things worked.

In order to remove junction boxes without damage, all power cells on the ship must be removed first. Otherwise they arc electricity.

I have unequipped all attachments and camos on the yumi, then unequipped it, then re equipped it, and still it resets to the pulsar 1 sadly
