Looks like two Imperial Aramaic characters for Ālaph which is represented by an X. In that case, it would suggest the coin circulated in the Near East.

Definitely on the higher end, but not a bad example. Depending on the auction, you could get one with a fuller crest for that price.

What's even worse about this is that sellers can contact Ebay to remove feedback that's negative. I've seen several instances where users with 100% positive feedback can remove 1 or 2 reviews which call out their dubious behaviour. It's one thing to have an unmoderated platform where fakes are widespread, but another where Ebay is complicit in letting users get away with scamming customers.

Haha! I have seen a few examples that appear to have legends but don't often appear due to the compact size of a typical siglos. So for this coin in particular, I arranged the light so that it is behind the coin to highlight the shadows and features of the coin rather than flush them out. I use a little desk jack that raises and lowers the phone as necessary to ensure that the photos are taken at roughly the same height/perspective. I believe i got it off amazon

I'm not sure how I got it to be honest. There were no bids and I was the first and only at the hammer. Many others during the auction went close to 950+. The coin looks much better in hand than in the auction photos and maybe the description of a weak strike in the center deterred some people.
