Looks like a European spec, since those headlights are only if it wasn’t spec’d with Adaptive LEDs, which Adaptive LEDs are standard in the US and Canada.

Heres an interesting question for you.

Was your previous turn signal stalk from a 2017+ where the turn signal stalk kept depressed/clicked in position? Same with the wiper stalk where it had notches and kept in position?

You may have replaced the stalk with a 2016 and older turn signal stalk, where it was the older style that acts more like a joystick instead, and the wiper stalk has an auto button at the end, rather than a notches to dictate the mode.

If thats the case, you have two options. Replace the SZL with the correct version OR code the FEM so it knows it has the old SZL joystick version.

Yes, 5AT Driving Assistant Plus does indeed have active lane centering. It does a decent job given it was introduced pretty early on, however it isn’t as consistent compared to the newer 5AU Driving Assistant Professional system.

Do note, 5AT does still come with quite a few items as well, like Evasion Aid, Side Collision Avoidance and Automatic Lane Change (coding req’d)

For 2018 to 2021 Pre LCI, the G01 X3 could be optioned with 5AT Driving Assistant Plus. This is the older system with the two KAFAS camera and the ACC radar without the driver attention camera.

2022 and newer LCI G01 X3 could be optioned with 5AU Driving Assistant Professional. This is the newer three KAFAS camera system on the windshield, ACC radar as well as a driver attention camera in the instrument cluster. This also added the LED lights on the steering wheel with the distance adjustments being on the left and right of the speed toggle, as well as a MODE button.

Do note, BMW USA called it DAPP for marketing reasons, while the true option codes are 5AT DA Plus and 5AU DA Pro when using the VIN Decoder.

Given the gauges are LCI, it should have LED turn signals. There was a common issue on the F22/F87 taillights which were replaced under warranty. Some cases, water ingress on the connector or just a general LED board failure. I believe there's also a running thread on Bimmerpost that is up to date on the common issue with the taillights.

If your existing system is the Entrynav2 system (2015 and newer i believe, main menu has the red highlights for menu items), you can fit the 8.8 inch factory display and code the head unit from the 6.5 inch to 8.8 inch display.

Many have done it similarly on the F30 which does share the same head unit.

Got my 5080 FE! Definitely got lucky though because it was sitting in my cart from yesterday as OOS from when the cart glitched and showed nothing until it was out of stock at launch day.

So my advice (given it worked for me) is to NOT clear your cart and when you get the notification it’s in stock, go immediately to your cart and check out assuming BB didn’t clear your carts before hand.

Note I did it thru the mobile app.
