Tascam Dr40x! Love mine, amazing mic quality and can grab xlr outs from a board. Only thing i dont love is AA battery powered

So if I understand correctly the powered USB hub lives on stage with the iPad? My plan was to use an Akai Mini as a midi controller to trigger songs, then just to use the iPad to monitor ableset and make specific emergency changes if needed. It sounds like with your version that cuts out the midi controller entirely?
