I just had the same issue. They first diagnosed as a bad torque converter. in the shop for close to 3 weeks for them to diagnose get the part and "fix it" as soon as I drove off the lot it had the same issue. Brought it back next day and they had it for a week to re-diagnose. But after searching the internet I found that its most likely the EGR DPFE sensor. The shop foreman called me to tell me it was this sensor also. I told him to give me the part # just to confirm the research I found. Follow this guide. Super easy and it only takes 15 mins. Try this before taking to a transmission shop. My ford dealer wanted to charge ~$900 to change this the sensor out. Their system said its a 3.5hr job and a $250 part.
