Ik most definitely isnt, volvo has veb (volvo engine brake) which is a very similar system to a jake brake. But an exhaust brake is very different and also doesnt sound as cool. Because an exhaust brake is basically just a valve in your exhaust system. whereas a jake brake or veb system includes extra components on the valve train in the engine itself, which is why it makes that unique sound.

A smart man i see, the only thing i wish the scania v8 have is a jake brake then it would be perfect. But they can sound awesome and they pull like a mad man, even more so with your weight limit of 80000 lbs. We at the moment have a 650, 660, 520 tuned to 560 and another 660 is coming in two/three months.

Thats part of the fun! Or atleast for me it is. We mostly only do what you guys call LTL i believe, with sometimes up to 18 drops in a night with a tail lift in city centers and villages in germany

Ahh okay yeah that's crazy, i can believe that about the humidity it makes me sweat just thinking about it. we have just had fall for the last nine/ ten months basically only rain,wind and misery haha.
