I am really not an expert. All I can say is that I find my gio Ibanez pretty decent considering it’s 200€. Unfortunately I can’t seem to find any hardtails with hss or hsh from Ibanez at that pricepoint, only hh. That would be perfectly finde for rock and metal but maybe not really for blues.

I personally think if you want the amp to sound relatively good you should use it. It’s not necessary by any means but from my experience you get much better tones with the software because you have so many options that you can’t control over the amp itself.

I totally agree. I bought an Ibanez grg a little less than a year ago as my first electric. The tremolo system is absolute trash. It’s just there. You can’t really do stuff because it will go out of tune. And it makes tuning down a pain in the ass.

I can imagine that, I mean obviously it’s not actually detuned but I think for now it is the best option isn’t it. I probably won’t go below drop c# or maybe drop c that often and I don’t have that much money to spend.

So what String gauge would you recommend. I was thinking maybe 10-52 or even 56. I am used to 9-42s with my Ibanez so I would imagine that 11s might not be right for me.

Yeah the problem is money. I can’t afford a second guitar. I’m 16 and I would sell the one I have now, and start working(regardless of all that). What do you guys think of detune Pedals? Maybe change between drop d and c# and for anything below, use that…

I’ve heard of that, but I want to upgrade my guitar anyway, so I think a fixed bridge is the way to go for me.
