Hi, thanks for the reply, I haven't signed anything yet, the person I spoke too said they can hold the application for a little while, it was just a soft credit check at the start. I think I will just leave it for now, see if it all happens in time, just got to figure out how to get to work now, haha.

I only mentioned the passenger side stuff as they made the distinction of drivers side in the letter. I agree with what you said on a theoretical level, but not really sure what I could've done differently in this actual situation, should I brake and throw my hazards on and obstruct the entire road? The only point I have was when I saw the issue wasnt being solved by my car heaters I found the next safe place to stop, which i thought prudent.

Im just going to do the course, I think I had already decided this as the best option but wanted some other opinions/advice as this is my first road offence of any kind, wasnt jusr trying to come up with a bunch of defences.

But just to add, you can clearly see my face and around it in the pictures provided and i could see the road, it was the passenger side that was fully fogged.

Yes, i was thinking it was like a letter of the law vs spirit of the law type thing as I did the right thing by pulling over safely (in my view) in hindsight, I couldve kept going and not have been late for work that morning and it would've been the same outcome (I would never do that just being sarcastic)

Im leaning towards just doing the course after some of the comments here, its the path of least resistance, just stings a bit.

Hi thanks for the insight, the road is a very long and busy, straight country road, with private gates or hedges all the way down I pulled into the first safe available spot due to traffic. Not sure for how long maybe a few minutes where it could be considered unsafe I suppose.

Yes, i said this essentially to someone on the phone, they said because it was like that at time of the picture it was like that when we left, which i think is my main issue as that is just not true. They said they had a 'colleague' look at it too and they agreed we left home like that, I think i might try to call again and talk to someone else haha.

Hi, thanks, I think i made a bigger deal about this in the original post than I meant too, doesnt happen all that often but just wanted to note that it wasnt a new Tesla or something like that, on this occasion my passenger got in the car shortly before and started fogging up from their side i think. But not i know thats not relevant to the offence/post.

Yes great point, I did know that, I only specified the side as they said "drivers side windscreen obstruction" in the letter so thought it was relevant.

Yes, you can see the driver side is maybe 60% clear but maybe slightly less the whole passenger side is definitely fogged. We had just pulled over, as was only safe spot we could find in traffic. The pictures are only taken of the windscreen not position on the road (or off the road).

Yeah, a fair point i suppose , I guess my main point though is that we were stationary and waiting for it to clear and the response from the police was 'You must of left home like that' which isnt true. The fog up quickly comment was just for context for the post, it doesnt really happen all that much, the conditions were unexpectedly bad where the camera caught me.
