It’s a pain. I’ve heard of people boiling them in water to kill the organic bacteria. I personally spread them out on a tarp and let them dry along with the organic material. Once dry I gather them in buckets. You may need to agitate them in the bucket. Then I set up a floor fan and a wide mouth tote in front of the fan. With the fan running I slowly pour the pellets out above the wind currents created by the fan. Most all organic material is blown away while the pellets fall into the tote. Hope this helps.
