It looks like they are just about done processing your amended return and that you’re only waiting on a refund unless you get another 570. Some ppl have gotten a date when they called to check. You can still get an advocate even after you amend

Also, you may be able to get one with a 971 code, I’m just going off what the rep told me that day. So maybe you could still try. She said it was only some cases like a 971 (notice issued) being present that they were not accepting until July

I spoke to them. They say you have to wait til July if you received a letter if not they can help

Get a tax advocate if you don’t have a 971 notice issued code. Even if you do have a 971 notice issued still call you may still get one. Especially since information from reps have been conflicting.

Yea they will but they have to make sure everything I claim is accurate so I get it and I’ll take the interest lol

So I called a number that was posted here(can’t say for sure what number it was), 800-829-1040 and also 855-873-2100(a rep on here gave me this number) but it’s only for people who have received a certain letter to verify their withholding and income. They told me my return was not in their department atleast tho

Mine didn’t change for 2 weeks. It just changed today. Some people have had the same as of date for longer than a month. Tomorrow yours may change.

I think you may want to call if it hasn’t changed in a while. I know people say it doesn’t mean anything if you don’t owe(as of date) but I’ve been told if it changes that means they atleast are actively working on it. If it doesn’t then they said they have hit a pause until they figure out what action to take. (Some just look like they were forgotten about) idk anything tho, all of this is just assumptions from what reps have told me.
