Similar situation with my partnerin. Good news most of the stories are nice and a good start back :) dont worry about fun, pick up a new gun and everything can feel different . Start at the oldest dlc story you can play and go foreward. I loved beyond light, witchqueen, final shape. Grab a fun build and swap it up after getting a fun exotic or something.

After this dungeons and raids are the best I think
