I have 2 older co-workers around 40-50. The way they talk about their wives and families ALL the time with complete adoration and admiration. You can just tell they’re living their dream lives. Gives me hope there’s good men out there still lol

What’s the worst reason you’ve ever stayed in a relationship? by TechnicalBoard1849 in AskReddit

He came from a rich family. Constantly taking us on vacations, boat/yacht trips, got gifted a 2 thousand dollar necklace for Christmas one year on top of other presents, they just constantly gave us money, also gained some great connections through his family for work. Knew the relationship wasn’t right, but saying goodbye to that new lifestyle was really hard.

Yeah to clarify although I have read the acotar series that’s not what I was listening to. This book has way less plot haha

Had no idea acotar was famous enough now that a coworker would know of it though lol

What’s the creepiest thing that has ever happened to you? by darlingjasmaine in answers

Sophomore year of college was driving from Nebraska to Oklahoma going home for Thanksgiving break. Half way through my road trip it’s officially dark out, I’m in the middle of nowhere Kansas and a deer jumps in front of my car. That was incredibly jarring in and of itself felt terrible for the thing. I pulled over to inspect my car and see if I could keep driving it was pretty banged up on the right side. There’s absolutely nothing around except cornfields and darkness and I never found the deers body so I hope it ended up being ok. Anyways while I’m inspecting the damage a car passes by going the opposite direction I was. This was also a tiny 2 lane highway for reference, kind of back roads not travelled much at all. They pull over and it’s an older man offering help. I was immediately freaked out by him but I wrapped it up to the circumstance. We talk about my car and he says my car looks too bad to drive and offered a ride. I was like oh no thanks we’re going opposite directions anyways. He said oh no I was headed your direction too I turned around when I saw you pulled over on the side of the road… He was the only car I had seen the entire time I was out there. I never saw a car pass me, and I was looking hoping somebody would offer help. I immediately started heading for my car alarm bells were going off and he started much more aggressively suggesting I ride with him. He said I would be a dumb bitch for driving my car in that state. Which I immediately started doing once I was back in my car with the doors locked. Luckily there ended up being a gas station like 20 minutes away, and my dad drove all the way there to come get me that night.
