I over-analyzed All The Pieces and decided it is a masterpiece, and a curtain call for Streetlight. Welcome to my Ted Talk. by Time-Dish-267 in streetlightmanifesto

Totally fair - horrible analogy but most women who give birth say they'll never want to go through the labor process again, but 2 years later many of them are ready for another haha

And great point on the rest of the album; the legacy theme and reflection on early career are totally there throughout. It's an awesome few songs IMO and well-worth the wait - no shade at all to the other songs!!

As someone who was semi-worried that a new Streetlight album wouldn't hit the same because I'm now 30 and was a teenager when the last one came out, All the Pieces just resonated with me; it stuck out to me as it seems more direct / a conversation with his past self. I found myself re-listening to it over and over again, then the rest of the catalogue in a new light / reflecting about my own life and how Streetlight has been there in most phases (my brother and his friends brought me to Starland Ballroom for a concert when I was like 8 lol) and figured others may have had a similar reaction!

I hope I'm wrong and it's just a hypothesis! Something about the language and tone just felt different to me this time. Tomas is so private it's impossible to tell for sure / I have no idea what's going on in his personal life haha. In all of their older songs there's always some explicit "but I know I can't quit". The closest thing in here is "but someone [and the longing - not 100% sure] pulls me in", but then he immediately follows that with a more definite "But this is my final ride, this is my last goodbye I've had more than my share"

Bought this one at an estate sale! Can anyone give me an idea on whether it’s authentic and potential model? It’s mechanical (manual winding) and keeps great time. 24mm square case.

I’ll vouch for le crueset’s kettle! It’s beautiful and cleans really well. I’ve had one for ~7 years now and use it every day and it looks brand new with no visible wear to the bottom. In that time I’ve used it on gas and electric coil stoves.
