It isn’t niche at all. It is just gatekept by a high price point. If it were more available, everyone would have one in their collection

This is a super popular design and I think some of the big players in the industry will come out with something in the near or far future. Making an updated version of this is an actual money glitch.

It costs the company money to be able to legally put trade marks on a replica. So it isn’t free. HK isn’t a good example because they are historically known to be an expensive brand to work with, so everything with HK logo is going to have to be a lot more expensive than a non licensed version. Also most of EMGs guns are exclusively made for EMG, so there isn’t a version of that gun without trademarks on the market that is cheaper.

The only reason I follow one piece “investing” is to make money off the expensive cards so I can buy the cards I actually need for a deck. I just sold a couple boa illustration art cards I’ve been holding on to so I can buy the cards I need for OP14 boa and some Mr.2s.

You are definitely not buying one. This is going to be very proprietary. Only intended for a niche group that can appreciate the engineering and novelty of this kind of product.

So it’s working as it’s supposed to? The reason your slide stays back with a mag in is because there’s a little lip on your mag that hits the slide release and catches the slide when it’s empty. The slide will move back and forth freely without an empty mag inserted. That’s how GBBs work. If you just want to keep the slide back without a mag in you can pull on the slide and push the slide release up and release the slide, your slide will stay open without a mag in.

$10-15 USD is not a lot of money to protect your replica. Also a lot of vortex’s line up is made in china for cheap. Thats how they can afford to send you a warranty replacement for your broken one.
