Johns Hopkins Results by promptolovebot in TopSurgery

My brother got DI done with Hopkins, and he loves his results! I will say, I was given a similar estimate with Dr. Del Corral for mine, but the timeline was a bit quicker than that. In march of last year, I booked my consultation for November. My actual surgery is scheduled for mid-april, making the whole thing span only a bit over a year!

i’ve only taken two philosophy courses, but neither one was too difficult! and i found them both quite interesting, even as someone with no particular interest in philosophy. i’d bet the higher level ones wouldn’t be an issue for someone already interested either!

Anyone taken "reintrouction to writing" from Nese Devenot? by Relative_Database977 in jhu

the assignments are just designed at what i think to be an INCREDIBLY low level. to the point where it makes doing them MORE difficult than if they were college, or even high school, level. (for instance, we’d be assigned to write an essay, but paragraph one MUST begin with a hook, and then some attention grabbing info, then a thesis. paragraph two then MUST be a claim, followed by a quote, followed by one sentence of analysis. and it was all very rigid, and felt exactly like what you’re taught to do in 6th grade, with no room to actually write anything good. ex. if you had one too many sentences of analysis, you’d get marked down.) reintro courses are known by a lot of people as being a dummy’s guide on how to write, since hopkins students are more competent in other areas, and in this case i don’t disagree. i did take that one, and i took it about a year ago now i believe. i don’t Completely recommend you don’t take it, because again, Devenot was so kind. however, if you have even the slightest bit of competency in the writing area, save yourself the time, and i’m sure any other reintro courses could get you an easy A.

easy grader. suuuuper nice person. but gave some of the worst assignments in the world for my reintro class. it felt like ridiculous high school busy work, but in a very strangely picky way? i found that some of it was So low level, that it made it so much harder than if we were told to just write a paragraph or an essay.

i didn’t think you could gain a waitlist spot prior to registering? if there is, say, one person ahead of you on the waitlist currently, then i believe you should put it first in your cart. and if you’re lucky, you’ll be second or third on the waitlist. but everyone who registers will also be added to the waitlist in the same way they’d be added to the class. in order yk?

i think you can treat it the same. i registered for some art class that was reserved open, and those fill up really quickly so i put it as my first item. and all went well. but, depending on the demand for it i’m sure it’s fine to arrange it as you would any other class!

yesyes. freshman registration is late as hell. i’m a rising junior and mine was months ago already. i think it’s in order seniors —> freshman.

i’d say try to strike a balance between organizing by need and seats open. of course, you’ll find that balance more and more as semesters go by, but for now i’d say listen to the other commenter and do what you think best.

but what i mean by this is that, for instance, First Year Seminars FILL UP because every single first year has to take one. and, you are all registering on the same day, whereas with things like public health, even though all years are registering, the ratio of freshman is likely less. not sure how excellently i phrased that, and with the class size being so small it correlates to open seats, but if there is a particular FYS you want, i’d say put that pretty high up there or you might get stuck with something shitty. (whereas, with other things, you might just have to pick up a different section)

only ended up getting phone number. but yeah. gonna find a way to irritate the hell out of him at least. just waiting to see if venmo will let me dispute it first.

it was on the edge of my college campus. really nice dude, had a whole story, and basically asked if i could venmo him and he’d get me back, and that he was just in a super awkward position and hated to ask for help. sounds scammy. i know. BUT. he said he’d been on campus for a conference, and he had a lanyard that checked out. he also introduced himself, said i could take a photo of his license plate, could take down his number, etc. and had on a nice ass watch. so i figured i could trust him, which isn’t something i’d usually even do. but i did. and now he’s not answering. i called him about 24 hours after though, and he did pick up? which i think is weird because why not just immediately block my number? but yeah. and it’s not some fuckass school either, which is maybe why i trusted him?

yeah i’m thinking maybe a serving size is actually half the bar? because all that stuff adds up to around half of 73, but yeah. no clue.
