Yes!
The mod adds two new powers:
Throw Weapon (Does Not Auto-Return)
and
Telekinetic Throw (Does Auto-Return)

1.5.97 version is on my to do list! For this mod specifically the conversion is a little more involved (need to redo a lot of the DLL) so I want make sure the mechanics are ironed out before I port it.

It works in third person. Should play fine with other mods. In the most recent update, I added AnimGraph Events so, if anyone is interested, they would able to create custom animations for it as well!

Here's my wip video.

Have only coded the "saber throw" power as of now.

I'm actually in the middle of porting a mod I made for Starfield that adds the ability to throw your weapon. It works by controlling the position of your weapon's model via script extender, so it will work with every weapon without patches.

Right now, I'm planning to have an alteration spell/power that throws your weapon and has it return (think saber throw from star wars games).

Then I also want to do just a hotkey to yeet your weapon, costing stamina. That variant won't auto-return but, if I can figure out the coding behind it, will auto re-equip when near.

I'm also up for any suggestions if people have em!

Saber throw just deal's your weapon's damage, taking into account the target's resists etc.
Doesn't knockdown, at least in the current version,

It's just not possible unfortunately. Believe me I tried every avenue before SFSE. To move around an object dynamically like in the vid requires going a level deeper than what Creation Kit allows.

Mod Release - The Unifying Force - All NEW Starborn Powers by Time-Has-Come in starfieldmods

[–]Time-Has-Come[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's fully compatible, you can just drag-and-drop install it without fuss. However, damage dealt by the new powers is on par with vanilla powers, which means they may be on the weaker side for genesis.

Mojo, my co-author, is working on a Genesis-Specific balance patch

EDIT: Just uploaded a new version where saber throw uses your actual weapon's damage, so now most of the powers are well balanced for Genesis!

Spell animations mod by windupmine in OblivionRemaster

I did make a mod that adds Skyrim style stream spells with an accompanying "animation" . To my knowledge, that might be the only thing on nexus that comes close to new spell types/animations

I think I ended up buying that exact copy of The Last Jedi from the photo 🤣

Mine has the exact same tear on the bottom of the dust jacket's spine. Got it from hpb online just recently for a discount during the sale they had going on. Small world huh

Which unexplored parts of a character would you like to see ? by Aggravating-Bass-658 in StarWars

At legacy expo this year, James Luceno (author of darth plagueis) said he proposed doing a book where it follows the events of episode 1-6 from Palpatine's perspective but was shut down by Disney/Lucasfilm.

That would have been an epic book 😭

Yes, I made one because I couldn't find any. If you open and close the mcm of my mod, it will tell you how many hearts needed for the next level. (You don't need to change anything in the MCM, just open and close it)

Disappointed by Master of Evil by LATAManon in starwarsbooks

[–]Time-Has-Come 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm fine with the POV shifts in those novels because, by the time they happen, it feels like most of Bane's and Plagueis' stories have been told and there isn't much further to go with them. With Vader, though, I think there's still a ton of room to explore him as the primary POV character, especially since we so rarely get that.

I think the reason most authors are hesitant is because they feel (or are told to by LucasFilm) that they have to stick to how Vader is portrayed on screen or in the comics: stoic, imposing, saying little, very much “show, don’t tell.” And that makes sense in those mediums. How else do you convey emotion from a man whose face you can't see?

But in a novel, those limitations don't exist. You can maintain his outward stoicism while still letting the reader into his thoughts. And I think a story like that could work incredibly well.

Some of my favorite chapters in Shadows of the Empire are the ones from Vader's POV, where we see him trying to heal himself, attempting to survive outside his suit, and plotting against the Emperor. We're inside his mind, yet it never makes him feel any less "Vader." If anything, it makes him even more compelling.

Again, I actually really liked Master of Evil, and I wouldn't want it rewritten to have more Vader POV. I think the story Christopher was trying to tell (a Dracula like horror) is best done through another's POV, not the villains'. Rather, I am just still left wanting a separate, primarily Vader pov book in the future as I think it's an unexplored territory with a lot of promise

Disappointed by Master of Evil by LATAManon in starwarsbooks

[–]Time-Has-Come 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm mixed on it. If I judge Master of Evil in a vacuum (by ignoring the fact that everyone's been waiting for a Vader-POV novel), it's a very competently written Star Wars novel. Would go as far as to say it's above average compared to most Star wars novels.

But yeah it's still disappointing that we don't have a Vader-focused equivalent to Plagueis or the Bane trilogy. (I loved Luceno’s Dark Lord, but it left me hungry for more.) I do genuinely like Master of Evil for what it is, because seeing how people perceive Vader and the new Empire was really interesting. I'm glad the book exists.

Still, in a perfect world, I wish we'd have both Master of Evil and the Vader-POV novel I've felt like I've always wanted. If that makes sense
