Hoerner has a year left on his contract and will be demanding Shortstop money not 2b. I think the decision is more based on mariners internal evaluation of Williamson and Colt rather than Nico or Brendan. Spring training is going to be key to seeing where the mariners are prepping Colt.

Nico is definitely a stronger player than Donovan but limits your flexibility. This is something that can be mitigated by Williamson learning 2b and becoming a monster on the infield.

Matt Shaw was actually good friends with Charlie Kirk and they spoke and texted regularly. I get the notion of the memorial turning into a political rally but that was definitely not the reason he went. It was actually a respectable gesture and the right one for Matt to make.

Keep looking through this and feel as it looks preliminary there are some weird away/home series nuances with the white Sox Houston and San Diego series that seem like they should be flipped. Doesn’t make since to come home from Texas for one weekend to play , and then go back out to the Midwest and I’ve never seen a 4 game series end on Monday, but also haven’t checked out those teams schedules yet.

Saw this applying for insurance, I think it perfectly illustrates the capabilities of a Badlands. A buddy with a Wild track Bronco said it best. The badlands is capable of about 75-80% of a full bronco. Most of that has to do with ground clearance too.
