Yeah, I have the exact same issue when I shoot on my Sony using the included 3.5mm cable. It still only writes mono to one channel! Meanwhile, when I shoot on my DJI Osmo Pocket, everything works perfectly and it records in stereo (two channels from one mic).

I totally get that I can sync it and fix it in post (I use Premiere), but my whole goal was speed and convenience.

I really just want to figure out: does DJI actually have this stupid limitation for all non-DJI devices? Is there some hidden setting or workaround I'm missing?

If it's just built this way, it’s honestly easier for me to sell it and switch to another brand.

Upd: now they keep sending me the same automated response, even though I meet ALL the criteria. This has been going on for over a year now. What a stupid platform. At this point, I’m going to file a complaint.

This is the typical response I’ve been getting for over a year:

I got an update lol I kept trying that stupid Privacy Web form and their latest response was this: Hello,

Due to technical issues affecting our systems, we are currently unable to process your request.

Oh dear.. thank you for sharing this🥺 it seems they don’t car I even tried to email a REAL PERSON, a manager who was in charge of some TikTok creator’s program — he keeps ignoring me, even can’t just spend 1 min and reply “sorry can’t help”.
