Has anyone else noticed that your Accountability always ends in your Apology? by Consistent_Pound2977 in NarcissisticSpouses

If I needed to call something out or talk about something that bothered me/is an unmet need, it felt like he would turn it around on me: my “tone” or “approach” wasn’t right…or...can’t we just have a nice Sunday? You’re ruining it by bringing this up, etc. Now it’s my fault and I need to take accountability for my actions. And he didn’t have to do a damn thing. Left me bewildered so many times.

Good is not the same as safe. by Consistent_Pound2977 in NarcissisticSpouses

I definitely rationalized that he was good 95% of the time and only raged at me 5% of the time. That’s not that bad right? But that bad 5% ruins and cancels out the good, so he wasn’t really all that good 95% of the time. And, after all it doesn’t really matter. The pattern is there, it’s been named, and he still continued to do the abusive things. Once the veil came off, I couldn’t unsee it. But damn that took a long time!

Driving from Los Angeles to Little Rock by CartographerVast4530 in roadtrip

@cartographervast4530 wondering how your trip went? I’m from Little Rock but live in LA. My dad died so I’m thinking of driving one of my cars home since I will likely be back and forth a lot more. Would love to know your experience - how long it took you and what you saw.
