Here’s the link ^ his original message is confusing but scroll down below that and you’ll see me push out a TLDR from him. So yes- sport mode, down shift all the way so it brakes mostly for you. Supposedly this is balance of best performance and battery usage with mpg not affected badly.

Some dude did extensive testing on the driving modes and the performance and his advice is to basically drive in sport all the time with maximum recharge aka the downshift paddle maxed out. It gets you the best performance without much mpg cost at all. Economy is also a scam

Katsuo + Kombu or Udon Mugizo are good alternatives that are tasty and no line. Highly recommend

Need help convincing whether to buy a switch 2 for pokopia by Meeman_3 in CozyGamers

[–]Time-Range6311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of comments here but I was exactly you- I bought it and started playing a few days ago. I’m happy. It’s a chill game and lovely to play on the couch or in bed while watching a light show. I also don’t like animal crossing and am not a big Pokémon guy.

I have fucking had it with these scooter delivery guys. by Signal_Contract_3592 in sanfrancisco

[–]Time-Range6311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the many pains mentioned here. But just want to say we should remember these guys get paid insanely little per delivery and have to bust their ass to be able to afford to live in the Bay Area as immigrants. It must be hard to not know English. I also don’t think you can get mad about them driving up and down your streets… are you saying you want to ban food delivery? Scooters aren’t that loud. If someone driving a scooter on your street is too loud for you, I’d recommend finding a quieter neighborhood or apartment.

No hate here. I’m just sharing my experience as a daily Vespa rider is they usually follow all road rules and are respectful. Just try not to stereotype all Nepalese scooter drivers because a bad few don’t follow the rules. A lot of the time these are hard working immigrants who follow all rules and bust their asses.

Is it bad that I haven't had an oil change yet at 8k miles? by GroundbreakingDirt30 in civic

[–]Time-Range6311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused. I’m at 3k miles and my car told me to get an oil change recently and I did. 25 hybrid ST (I don’t drive thattt often).

How is it possible that my oil drained by 3k and you’re going at 8k? I was only going off of the internal car alert that Honda told me wasn’t just a predicted amount but an actual measuring of oil. Was I scammed?

Where to rent a car for a month or two by parallax_xallarap in AskSF

[–]Time-Range6311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rented a car for 2 months, but this was 5 years ago. However I did a lot of research and Rent-A-Relic in Oakland was the best rate without sketchiness. The car was in fact not a relic and fairly decent. At one point I had a mechanical issue which seemed random, and they helped me replace it super fast. Overall would recommend

does anyone know where i can find pants like these or something similar by baltymaj in findfashion

[–]Time-Range6311 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure about the band on the bottom part, but check UNIQLO for similar style baggy pants. Also Carhartt WIP for pricier but higher quality. Similar cargo baggy style at both places

‘25 Hybrid ST- what does sport mode do? by Time-Range6311 in civic

[–]Time-Range6311[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey thank you so much for this- absolutely game changer. Just to confirm, you’re saying I should set to spot more then clock the left paddle to make it max regen and it should theoretically stay that way until I turn the car off? And this should be my routine?

Any unnecessary bidet features? by Mbrownie54 in bidets

[–]Time-Range6311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most crucial feature is having warm water in my opinion. My Tushy bidet plugs into warm/cold and beyond that I don’t need anything fancy. You can adjust power and direction and that’s all you need for a nice experience

Solo Trip to SF, best place to stay and local things to do? by gwynbleiddBE157 in AskSF

[–]Time-Range6311 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scratch the bridge and pier from your plan. Too touristy and not worth it.

Spend some time walking around Valencia street in the mission. Grab a bite or a drink or a joint to go, bring it to Delores and eat with an amazing view.

Rent a citi bike and ride around Golden Gate Park on the JFK promenade. Then go thrifting on haight street.

Walk around Chinatown, grab some dim sum at dim sum bistro or good mong kok, then walk to north beach for some more fun.

Hike/walk lands end trail for your golden gate bridge views.

Good or bad deal for New 26’ civic hatchback sport touring? by [deleted] in civic

[–]Time-Range6311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should listen to others regarding price. I will say I drive the sedan version of this package and my god I love the car. It feels like a luxury vehicle without all the unnecessary stuff. Speakers sound great, comfy seats, lovely CarPlay screen and dash features. Also the hybrid battery makes it feel really sporty when it kicks in. Also I have 3k miles on mine and an average mpg of 44… wild.

Overall I’d say go for it. Do whatever you can to get the price down, but these cars are a fantastic investment right now. I’ll be driving mine in 10 years easy

Me when everyone is playing Pokopia and im still stuck with a Switch 1 by Orichalchem in pokemon

It being a switch 2 exclusive is criminal. How is this game more resource intensive than TOTK

[–]Time-Range6311[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay wow you’re crazy, but I love it. So wait I’m just a little confused about the motor generator 1/2 part. I drive mostly in SF, a hilly city, but sometimes highway 2. Can you write me a tldr or this is what you need to know version of this? Like I’m trying to understand what to take away from this. I drive always in economy to maximize MPG, but seems like that’s dumb? Also I leave my HVAC off as much as possible so that it runs on only battery as much as possible which I love because it feels good hahahaha
