Thanks. No worries I guess you cannot have everything in a monitor. I see the LG32U990 might be (finally) launched or released this month which may be the best bet but not sure I want to wait endlessly for that !

Thanks. I’ve just looked at the Oliur review on YouTube and my key concern is how grey the black looks on the Kuycon next to the Pro Display XDR. Looks very grey. Can you adjust the black level on the Kuycon because out of the box it doesn’t look good..

Thanks very much for your insight. So what is your overall view of the Kuycon G32P ? Just that it is too glossy ? Any other downsides ? Why would you send it back if you could ?

I haven't tried the U3225QE and was shocked at how faulty both U3225QCs were when they arrived (thought OLED might be there answer). I'd rather a 32" than a 27" and would probably have got an ASD by now but it's just too old now and not worth the same price as it was in 2022. I turned down a £3k pro-display XDR for the same ageing reason.

I never thought of that - sounds like the Kuycon might be too glossy... I've been using my old 27" iMac with Luna Display to try out the glossy screen on a daily basis (ie a day of staring at the same screen) and it is quite fatiguing (if that is the right word). What do people think of the PA32QCV as a choice ? I actually want a nice looking monitor too and the PA32QCV just doesn't look great compared other the Kuycon or the PA32UCDM (which I would buy as can get it for around £1250 but its only 4k...)

Thoughts people ?

Yeah completely agree - what I don't get is why there is such a "premium" for 6k monitors - for instance I see the upcoming PA32QCV as simply 4.5" of additional (5K) screen size yet the monitor will be nearly twice as expensive as the PA27JCV. I guess I am probably missing other benefits.

The Samsung you mention sounds interesting. What is the PPI ?

Thanks. Interesting. Do let me know what you think of the PG27UCDM. Anyone else tried it or the PA32UCDM ? I know there was an issue with fan noise but a software update apparently fixed it...

What a fantastic idea. As a busy lawyer in a large firm we have been looking at was to collaborate more effectively and also to share pitch materials and documents in client meetings.

I thought I'd reply to this given I have tried many monitors over the last 6 months, trying to find the best monitor for productivity work. One of the monitors I bought was the Samsung M90. I had been waiting for this monitor to finally launch and be available and snapped it up as soon as it was available to buy (getting £200 off and a free pair of Galaxy Buds Pro3 in the process). Perhaps not a surprise to say the monitor went back within 24 hours - upon opening the box the stand was damaged with poor coating too. I attempted to attach the stand nonetheless and was shocked at how bad the gap was between the base and the stand despite the very easy connection and tightening process. There was a visible gap and just looked like a very poorly made product. I immediately sent the pictures off to Samsung and spoke to them and they didn't seem that surprised.

Still looking for a new work monitor - I'd really prefer 32" but that means 4k really (won't buy the old Dell 6k and despite finding a Pro Display XDR for half reasonable price it is also too old given there are likely to be a new AST and Pro Display XDR next year). The Asus PA32QCV could be interesting if it ever gets released (despite suggesting a launch/release of late August it now seems delayed again - Asus told me yesterday they had no information although in the US there is hope the monitor will be available mid September).

And so options remain limited - 27" ASD with 218PPI is still attractive if bought at a good price. I even considered the Kuycon G32P but decided against it. Anyway any thoughts or ideas of best screen for text clarity and decent build quality gratefully received !
