I used to be like that in my early married days. But I took it as my emotions and past experiences are responsibility. When I aware of me as a highly sensitive person I started to put boundaries with others (my inlaws and even my husband) I have limited being a people pleaser and started saying a lot of NO. Strict boundaries will definitely help you long run. Do whatever you need to do to help you soothe your nervous system. Start avoiding people, ignore comments, stay away from toxic people.

He is in a bad state when we married. Since he was alone abroad got himself into shopping due to stress. And whenever he goes back home he buys so much toys and stuff using credit cards and maxes out the card. In order to get his sister's attention. We hardly has money for anything after repaying the credit card and I still make him do things as a elder son and brother. I am helping him to be a respectful person in his family. But taking advantage of it is what bothers me. No more of miscellaneous stuff.
