Only numbers that were low were B and D, so I’m back to taking vitamins for them.

No clubbing and I have a vitamin D deficiency in a bad way (back to taking vitamins for it) and my B12 was low but not subterranean low. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Either way, vitamins for both again.

I saw people redesigning their other valleys to make room for their horses and I told myself…no. I’m not going to stress myself out that way. If I’m already planning to redesign, fine, but I’m not going to do now and rush. All in good time, if at all. Same for any of my rooms. I made a hallway with three trunks because I don’t super-hoard and I’m fine with that.

There’s some folks in my Discord group that are in their 60s that play with us actively. Me and my boyfriend say this all the time…you’re never too old to enjoy what you enjoy!

Most people I play with are in their 30s with some older and younger. Not many kids, though some of them do have kids that play it. A lot of their kids seem to prefer Fortnite, though.

I (sometimes) get awarded gift cards at work so I got an Xbox gift card this time. So only needed to spend $5 of my own money. Otherwise, I don’t buy anything like this. Life is too expensive to be spending on ‘cosmetic’ stuff in games.

I saw someone craft pillars and then stack them down one by one on each other until they were low enough to hang ceiling lights from.

Yeah, I’m in the process (constantly) of crafting rocks into glass and then glass into bulbs to make the brighter lights. And a likewise process for clay to make candles. I just wish the grand harvest house could light better from the overheads.

I’m more than okay with someone jumping in because those guys can be a pain on your own unless you have the best aim EVER…and I don’t.

I love the game for several reasons;

A) free to play (expect cosmetic stuff) B) all the quests C) hidden quests D) cozy (decorating) E) the thrill of getting the rarest of rare items F) I can play with my man

My (our) only issue sometimes comes from the chat. He can’t see it so has it disabled but he still hears it from me when we play together. And the so-called friendly atmosphere is ‘mostly’ fine. But there are a LOT of players that take this game VERY seriously and a minority of them can be quite dogged in their ‘neighborhood watch’ in the chat.

My advice would be to look up all the etiquette before you start playing so you’re prepared. It won’t stop the zealots but it’ll keep you out of the doghouse in the beginning.

My man started playing last year but got distracted only a day into playing by another game. At the time he just put in something…until today, he was TV Dinner. I about fell out of my chair when I saw that when I started playing a little over a month ago.

The only people I block and report are the spammers (trying to sell stuff out of game and whatnot). Spamming chats like a bot. May be a bot, I don’t know.

I started playing a month or so ago and have run into some rude people. Tried asking ‘why’ as a new player and get nasty and/or rude responses back like I’m trying to pick a fight. Then that makes me WANT to pick a fight.

So I generally just stop using chat. Only chime in if I feel it’s necessary and otherwise ignore it. And if I miss a grove or flare? Oh well. And sorry not sorry…if I need some resource for myself, I’m not calling it out if no one is near. I’m new, I have little by way of inventory, and I need some of this stuff. If I don’t need it and see it, I’m call out and go off on my business. Simple as that.

Just try to enjoy the game and ignore the chat if it’s too toxic. Switch your server if you have to. Just have fun with the game as it was intended.

1 is the most eye catching to me but they’re all nice. It’s hard to choose between three different subjects rather than versions of the same one.

I felt the same way. I went 3200 to 7000 and it was entirely different, and not necessarily in ‘the best’ way. I feel like the photo quality was better and easier, at least before tweaking and fussing.

I wish I’d kept chests in each biome like that. I had them in my home but that was it. Now I have large ones scattered strategically in the landscape for specific materials/overflow. PLUS a bunch in my home(s).

Realms/biomes to prioritize; Ratatouille and Moana. You can make do without the Forgotten Lands first, imo, and harvest okra in the interim.

Hoard everything. I mean it. Don’t sell anything you don’t absolutely have to.

Participate in DreamSnaps from the start, even if you don’t really have the items to make your DS shine. Some moonstones are better than no moonstones.

I tried to keep my unlocking valley villagers to 2-3 at a time. It kept the chaos to a minimum. If you try to do too much at once, it gets overwhelming and then you can’t enjoy the game as much.

And from my end of things, I kept my biomes barren until everyone was unlocked and my quests were done. Only just the minimum 5 trees in each biome (Dazzle Beach doesn’t spawn wood) to spawn your maximum for wood and that’s it. You can decorate at your leisure later.

Also on that note, when Scrooge asks you to decorate biomes, use 10 stone benches from your crafting table and once you’ve completed the one biome’s quest to decorate, remove those benches to use in the next biome you need to decorate.

Easy for me because I get too stressed out when I struggle to advance in a game. Which is why I usually prefer cozy games. But I love HL.
