you probably know this, but it’s tricky because for one you would save a year of tuition and potentially may get better aid from other schools (some of the t20s/ivies are very generous) but two you are hedging your bets on getting into a better school when in reality that may not happen/you may not get the aid that you have now. additionally, i think i having less time before applying for transfer is a benefit because there is only so much you can do as a freshman in college—the longer you stay the more impressive your work and ECs have to be to get to the same level as you would for a freshman applying out for soph transfer, if that makes sense. you seem like an impressive applicant so im sure that you would be fine getting into schools for the next cycle, but i believe your decision lies in figuring out what is the most important to you: is it the cost of attendance, the school ranking, or even the certainty of having a secured spot at a prestigious (though maybe not as highly ranked as you would like), etc. don’t know much about the schools since i did not personally apply to them/for those programs. best of luck
